They ran a whole puff piece on Gracie during the short.

Compared to how NBC treated Gracie in the past that fluff piece was nothing. A small drop in the ocean. It was all Ashley, Ashley, Ashley, and so far tonight it is too. They basically jumped off her bandwagon. There is barely any talk about her from the commentators except a passing mention after they talk about Ashley.

Can you imagine them treating Michelle the same way in 1998 after the hardships of 1997 (like they are Gracie now) and basically barely mentioning her in comparison to Tara instead of like equals? Thankfully they didn't!

It's rotten of NBC and while I'm not a Gracie fan its a big turnoff. It's an example of how bad broadcast TV has gotten

So many mistakes from these ladies. . . . If this is any indication of what's to come, this night is going to be a real nail biter.

They really should only show the top ladies. Livy wasn't just provincial she was awful. My God I should watch Canadians or rewatch the Russians. Thank God for Nathan Chen and the ice dancers. She's enjoyable to watch, but doesn't really have the jumps to make any kind of impact internationally in seniors or juniors.

Tara's commentary is rather annoying but in her prime she probably could if she needed that to win. This is a skater who was doing a 3Lo+3Lo and 3T+1Lo+3S in the 2nd half of her program in 1998.

Honestly though, can you blame them? When was the last time, if ever, Gracie ever skated two clean, solid programs back to back in a competition? Her junior days, maybe?
