You guys are MAD, yesterday it was 3533...
I just popped to express that Yuzuru indeed looks cool, calm and collected, ready to do business as usual, happy to see him enjoying the experience.
And on a random note - yesterday after work I re-watched some Grammy 2017 performances and Bruno Mars did Prince tribute with 'Let's go crazy', guess about who I though immediately![]()
:luv17:

and of course Yuzu learns to greet in Korean. Haha. It doesn't sound bad at allbut I don't really know Korean so... Heh.
My Kdrama ear thinks it sounds cute and nice.
)Yuzuru in other korean tv news (video)
1 (he speaks korean and then he said I want to try samgyetang (?)

Yes! Samgyetang, it's this awesome chicken ginseng soup thing, I approve of his choices. I just wonder if he knows you should eat the whole chicken that you get, small that it is![]()

Good Lord, I just googled the food and it is an actual whole chicken
Haha, hope he has time to go around and try some food. His competition is still on Friday anyway. I wonder if he stay in the official hotel or not. Because it is 40 mins drive away. If I were him I would prefer to stay in hotel nearby the venue with my own money. it is a hassle to travel back and forth when you have 2 practices scheduled in a day.
). Maybe after the competition on Sunday evening/Monday. I am sure he won't try it before the competition. He said it before that he he is careful about food (unlike Kanako). Maybe after the competition on Sunday evening/Monday.

And traditionally, you should eat the whole thing, which is what is cracking me up, knowing him. Though to be fair, it's a smallish chicken. Koreans have fab food so hopefully he has room to try a few things. Definitely after the competition though and at some recommended place.Yes, yesAnd traditionally, you should eat the whole thing, which is what is cracking me up, knowing him. I agree about the hotel though I wonder if he is perhaps still at the official one as the other Japanese skaters are probably there too.
)So I wonder if when circumstances where the official hotel is inconveniently far from the venue, why not just stay elsewhere together somewhere nearer. I don't think it is not allowed?

Maybe it's a matter of proper form? Of behavior I mean, as in, he might think if everyone else is there, he should be too, even if he could afford to switch. I do think it's allowed too.
And I am always more than happy to talk about food. I blame Yuzuru for starting me on it this time![]()
According to Piper Gilles’s latest instagram story the venue seems to have an “athletes’ resting room” where they can take a nap. So the skaters might be resting in the venue between 2 practice sessions of the day. When Japan hosted World Championships 2014 in Saitama, there was similar accommodation in the venue because the official hotel was an hour away by bus from the venue.
There's definitely that. For Sochi Olympics Brian requested a bunch of things for Yuzu from JSF and one of those that got declined was his own room I believe? Yuzu also felt he should be everyone else is. That said, Yuzu can afford a lot more these days too.

I'm sure there is. Often official hotel is not that close too but maybe the normal one is about 15-20 mins away? Still personally I find it inconvenient though. The hotel for 4CC Seoul a couple of years ago is also far from venue. But well, at least they still give them lodging. Considering the limited income and popularity of the sport, I can't complain much for their lodging choices.
I don't know. I think for olympics, athletes are indeed encouraged to stay at Olympic Village. Kohei Uchimura etc stayed there too during Rio and he is already an OGM + multiple olympic medalist back then. Yuzu who were relatively a nobody at Sochi of course would not get the request approved.
Yeah I am leaning to think that way too.
Too bad Yuzuru said he doesn't care about food. Quite the opposite of myself![]()

Yuzu was young nobody amongst a really deep field in Japan. Kudos to Brian for trying. I think it was just get whatever they would give.

Further, what makes me glad is that we can have Korean News clip taken by fans other than Japanese News clip this time. he just repeats how he is fun and happy to be able to speak like this again in the interview.
I cannot fully explain how I’m happy to see him compete in a good condition…
