Going to sleep but I just want to say he looks mighty handsome (and tall lol) during the Press conf. :luv17:

Ah~ happy Yuzu is my favorite Yuzu :o:

Actually i dont THINK he was that disappointed. I doubt he doesn't know that Nathan's very consistent with his quads, and he looked satisfied with what he did. I'm calm because he was happy, he even celebrated :D
Am i wrong thinking that if he had a clean SP he would have been in first place?

If he had a clean SP, count at least +9 points to the SP score, and he would have won by ca 6 points if the scoring was the same in the FP.

Quick scan of the protocol and who gave his 3A a 0 GOE?? Judge 4!! :angry1:

Geesh. I admit that I am on the stingy side of GOEs, but that judge must have hit the wrong button on the 3A. That 3A looked better than most of the men's 3A in the opening of their programs :rolleye:

It looks like Yuzu wanted to add the 4S-1-3S combo in place of his 3A3T after the pop but felt tired so he went with the safer option. :drama: Maybe someone can do a transcript of their K&C convo?

I felt like he was thinking about 2S-1L-4S but changed his mind at the last second so he ended up with that awkward 2s-1l. A 2s-1l-3s might have given him the win. But gusty for him to just through in a 4T like nothing.

Oh guys, don't go to 4CC page, people are getting crazy there over one win of their favourite
I don't want to be disrespectful but it's the nature of this sport or any other sport, one day you win the other day you loose. What's the big deal? Do these people believe that Federer should have gotten retired after loosing to Nadal some years ago? Neither Nathan was arrogant over his win nor Yuzuru depressed for the loss. I wish the fans were as mature as them.

Like I couldn't be less interested:rofl:once again Yuzu has proved his scoring potential with a bv of 93 despite some crazy judges(I am looking at you Judge#4). Tbh I am completely over the moon right now that nobody can ruin it.

I made the mistake of reading the 4cc board.
I should learn not to go to the competition threads...
(Can i just shout out here, please forgive me if it isn't allowed but... THERE'S NO WAY THAT JUMP FEST CAN BE SO CLOSE TO H&L. SERIOUSLY.
I like Nathan, he seems cool, friendly and simply happy/excited about the place he's occupying in the sport right now. But i dont think he's close to Yuzu's level, at all. Jump wise, probably. But still, even though it seems like ISU just wants to reward jumps, it is not enough.)
Also, if we consider when Yuzu started training for real after healing such a bag injury, i think the results so far VERY impressive. I kinda feel bad for having such high hopes before, i totally didn't take that into account.

BTW. I'm a bit worried about the gala. It's so close to the FS, and i know Notte Stellata is like a walk in the park compared to what he just did, but ugh...
I guess we will see the if there really is an issue with his back...

I found the judging kinda weird. Comparing to Shoma who was underscored greatly and Nathan who was a bit favoured and was overscored... :frown: I mean Yuzuru was too

The competition threads are okay. Just run for the hills after the competition is over. That's usually when the blood bath begins :slink:

Well, I'm not sure if there is much strain in Notte Stellata for his back, other than the IB, which he did beautifully in the FS. I think he will be okay :) and since there is no gala practice for him, he won't try his crazy quad combos

I am glad that Nathan has arrived with those jumps, because now Yuzu has a rival that is not his friend/training mate etc... While Nathan is probably a nice guy, he and Yuzu have no connection, so it is easier to see him as a rival. I am not saying Javi is not a big rival, but Nathan is definitely not on Yuzu's side in any way, while Javi has been known to help him when stressed. I doubt yuzu wants to eat javi for dinner, but he might want to do that to the young up and comer. Psychology is a big deal. World's is now more interesting.

It has a Biellmann, doesn't it?

I haven't really posted in this forum in the last 10 months, I was exhausted and disappointed in everything (that hard was the move from my beloved Canada to US). Now, Yuzu made me remain awake till 2:32 am and keep posting here and in YouTube even with his silver medal. Isn't he amazing? Oh, again, I love him so much.

Jackie said it best :)

Yeah but Yuzu needs to actually BE clean (and most importantly rotate stuff). But I really liked his fight here. I am wondering if this will be the new layout...if so he could do a 4S/2t/2t in the beginning. Maybe forget the flip all together and do a lutz instead.
