Wenjing Sui & Cong Han

Would you please share a link of there NBC version FS? I can only find the Eurosport FS of their program

I actually watched it on my television when it was broadcasted, but I'll look around for a video copy and post it when I do!

Guys anyone can help me to find the exct recording of Paul Simon's "Bridge over troubled water" recording that they are using for their free skate? I'd love this one, the old recordings do not sound as good to my ear. (Adding some music to my playing list thanks to figure skating, again.:)

I think it's John Legend's live version: https://youtu.be/WnCHCqYRQFs

Just thought this was funny, but S/H's bio indicates that Han is 170cm, a decrease of 1 cm from last season.

Poor Han, his height is going to probably going to be a point of wonder and discussion for the duration of his career. On the other hand, kudos to him for shattering the stereotype that tall male skaters and height differences make successful teams. Hopefully he will inspire others to give pairs a try regardless of their body physique (Japan, I'm looking at you) :agree:

Cong's height has been a big issue from the beginning. People gave up hope of him growing tall when they saw his father. I would think it's no more an issue with the success he has with his partner. Why is it a concern when it obviously presents no problem to his winning abilities and performances? He's a great Pairs partner.

Cong is too polite to retort. I would have told the questioners that he compensates his height by standing high on the podium.

Yeah, I always facepalm when people bring up his height into discussion. He's one of the best Pairs skaters in the World, what does he need more height for excatly? To fit into their sterotype of male Pairs skater? Ugh. (And yes, Japan, take example. You don't really need very tall skaters to train a good Pairs skater. It just take a good coach I guess, since I'm sure Japan has enough skating talent.)

So China has the unique problem of a tall Pairs girl who kept growing and now a shrinking Pair guy who is small to start with.

Actually, it was worse at the Chinese Winter Games (domestic competition) last year. Sui's bio was 153 cm there, Han's was 168 cm.

All honesty, whatever Han's height is, I can definitely relate. I like to say that I'm 170 cm when I'm really a couple centimeters below that ;)

It's pretty hilarious, since han does the best lifts of anyone. Not that other male pairs skaters don't do a good job, but it doesn't look quite as effortless, nor with the ice coverage, as when he does it.

I was listening to the CBC post 4CC Facebook video and Kurt Browning, PJ Kwong and David Pelletier had lots of nice things to say about Sui and Han, but my favourite part was that Kurt totally ships them.

OMG Kurt will be hurt broken if he had ever read S/H's interview LOL
Sui said that they are not in romance relationship and they are like BBF("闺蜜“,she actually said this word in Chinese, which is used to described very closed and sweet friendship between GIRLS). I cannot stop laughing when I first read this.

But she has also said Cong was like a dad to her. :) He does take care of her. I've seen a photo of him cooking for them while in the U.S. a few years ago. (Told ya he's a great partner, sweet and dependable, on and off ice.)

I don't like to 'ship people but you can never tell about the future as she grows up. Pang and Tong were constantly fighting in their early partnership in their teens, but years of going through the ups and downs, especially the downs, consolidated their life partnership. Shen and Zhao kept their romance a secret until he proposed publicly.

It will be sooooo lovely if S/H decide to begin a romance relationship.
But it's also very interesting to watch them being annoyed by each other!
I love them from my heart.

They're so funny. Didn't she say he talks too much?! :laugh2: I have to admit though, it was very touching to see how kind he was to her after her surgery. He did seem very sweet and very attentive.

Yes Cong is a such sweetheart!
Once they were asked about their first impression to each other. Wenjing answered immediately, she said Cong was fierce when she first met him. Then they begin to have a lovely small argument on "fierce or not". It's good to see them back and being even stronger than before.

Well, being in a romantic relationship will keep them being annoyed by each other. Better yet, marriage will guarantee a life time of sweet bickering. :)
