Is it okay for multiple searches? I saw on twitter smth about it being 1 search 1 person?
Remember someone recommended that Yuzu x Nathan fanfic? Damn, I'm invested now. I want more, but I'm afraid to search "Yuzu Nathan" cos I bet there will be things I don't wanna see (comparing who's better or not etc.). Btw, during 4cc gala there's this part where Yuzu and Nathan high fives, anyone have hd pic for that?

Lol, is ok to infect the fan fest with weird fanfic talk again? I recall it wasn't received well by most ppl here...might be best to keep that kind of talk on the down low.
As for the Nathan x Yuzu fic...ehh, the pairing alone just wigs me out. :/

Yuzu is always so nice to junior, so when people said Yuzu case right now is the same with Patrick's pre-sochi (being chased by the younguns and can do nothing) I was nahhh... Yuzu won't let it easy for the younguns to take him over
Yuzu has his own path that I do believe it will be so different with Patrick's, he like to break the odd(esp the odd when normal people popped the quad into triple but ofc our Yuzu had to popped it into double
) next goal he will break the odd 'no 2nd OGM' curse

My reaction to fanfic talk is generally
I guess it's an inevitable thing but....not for me thanks

I think the thing with Yuzu is he strives for a balance between the performance and the technical and with every season he wants improve and evolve but he won't just improve one thing, he wants to improve everything at the same time. So the younger skaters now are going hard on the technical but their performance componants suffer for it, Yuzuru will up his tech content to remain competitive but won't do it if it will hurt his performance in a big way which will keep him at the top of the pack in the bigger picture

Hmmm...for me fanfictions on Yuzu are ok as long as they don't get really creepy. For me I love just reading stuff that could actually happen in real life like for instance Yuzuru practicing a quad lutz when he thinks Brian can't see and then Brian telling him off. That's why I enjoyed reading 'still waters run deep' by FieryRondo, because it wasn't too out there and the stuff that happened in it was very realistic and just sort of brought out more emotions- it was more of a muse fic

Even Nathan himseld said that it was Yuzu who pushed forward the sport, so I find it's so funny when so many people say Yuzu and the other veterans should up the technical if they want to still competitive among the younguns quad crase, while the fact actualy it was the other way around Nathan and the rest of the youngster not have any options but do quads if they want to win against the veterans.My reaction to fanfic talk is generally

Remove the quads from the youngster program and nothing is left.
Personally, I am not okay with fanfic. But if there are people who enjoy it, I don't have a problem with that, it is their right. As long as they don't step on Yuzuru's nerve, I don't think I will comment much on it. But if one day he says out loud that he is uncomfortable with it (or is even offended by it), I would have so much to say about it, trust me. 
On another note, there are many platforms outside goldenskate where you can gush on that, like tumblr or twitter etc. Though I would say these kind of things are generally not widely appreciated among Yuzuru's fans. I would imagine things like fanfic is an immediate ban on his facebook group? I think I have never seen things like that in his weibo fangroup too? :think:

I've read fics where Yuzuru appears, and i´ve liked some because they are kinda realistic, things that i could see happening given the right circumstances. There are some that are so wrong (and i'm sad to say that the creepiest ones are in spanish!) but in general, i don't like real people fanfiction, it feels so wrong to write and publish imaginary scenarios about real people...

Yes, those are the ones I like to read as well. Lol there seem to be lots of Spanish Yuzu fics but I can't read Spanish so I don't bother

I'd say I generally don't mind that, though I would not read it. As long as they keep it within their own space and own circle and not shove it in Yuzuru's face, I would be okay with it. I remembered someone mentioned to/linked Yulia Lipnitskaya fanfics about her and it creep the poor girl out. :hopelessness:
Secondly, I personally don't want to do things that offend/annoy/disturb/give him discomfort (I mean, it is just common sense if you are a fan/admirer of someone, no?). I would respect him and his wishes, as a person and also as an athlete I admire. If he said noises, claps and screams before his performances disturb him, I would not do it. If he said he need to concentrate thus he can't reply greetings from people, I probably would not greet him. He was highly annoyed (even to the point where he said he felt betrayed and found it hard to trust people?) when there were rumors spread about his getting married. It could be something even much less trivial than those. So, I wish things that may upset him would not reach his ears, that's all

Yes definitely. We're his fans and although he may like us and stuff we aren't necessary to his job and all. It isn't his job to do fanservice etc unless it's ice shows (though it's very sweet when he does) and we shouldn't really get in the way of anything he does or hinder him. That's why I find it so sweet when he does give a little thought to the fans and does things for us like talk to the audience after a competition etc

I've only read a couple of fanfics in my life, and as they were abysmally poor, I decided not to waste my time on them. Mind you, the fanfics I read were about book characters - Frodo, Harry Potter like. I find writing and reading fanfics about real people just creepy, sorry. Not that I want to deprive anyone of their pleasure, if they like them. But don't shove a fanfic into my face unless you want me to get mad at you.
It's a good thing Yuzu is not accessible in social networks, really.

On fanfic: I've kinda lost interest in it in general but I can tolerate it. I can even tolerate shipping of real people but I think my boundary for comfort comes whenever there's not a clear boundary between the public image and the actual person. Idols and stuff...their public image is very defined and seperate from their identities way from cameras/stages/fans and their interactions with other idols is all part of the package they sell to fans, so shipping and fic writing is fine, so long as your not being a creep and taking it to the idol. But sports people/figure skaters? its just not the same. They aren't selling their personalities in the same way, their interactions with each other are more genuine and have nothing to do with pandering to fans. It's cool to like friendships, and I do enjoy how they seem to get on and respect eachother, but shipping and fic writing feels really uncomfortable to me because there isn't a defined public image that is seperate to their everyday identities.
And that's where the difference is. I mean, even without 5 quads in the fs, if yuzu and the kids skate clean at worlds...yuzu is still gonna win. look at the scores he can achieve with just 3.
LGC & H&L totally have the potential to outscore his Chopin and Seimei programs if he skates clean and feels his oats during the performance.
I want the kids to do well especially Shoma I'm very weak for him, and Boyang but if Yuzu skates free of pops and falls, he's always gonna have an edge on them.

If it true that we may get a new two program next season, means this upcoming Worlds is the last time for Yuzu have a chance to skate clean both LGC and H&L, I personal hope this two gorg program will be skate until reach it best potentialAnd that's where the difference is. But I'm not expecting anything, coz I'm not the one who will skate and Yuzu don't owe anything to me, I just want him to skate the best, the skate that will he proud of
