RAI sport is also showing skating live, I love their commentary, maybe if we're lucky, someone will record it and post it on YT.

I"m luckier this time. No sleepless nights, but it is on early in the am here and during the day when I should be working.... but I don't work Fridays and I"m taking the Thursday off, so I made it work for me.

o.O wow, what happened at France TV that they suddenly give us more skating in one week-end than they have in the past three years put together?!?

Not that I'm complaining, since I love Les Trois Mousquetaires (well, it's a love/hate relationship, I'm sure you know the feeling :p).

Can't wait for them to watch Yuzu's SP and LP so we can finally have their live opinion on them (and not just a few recorded comments afterward).

In any case, thanks for the news ;).

I know, right ? Most of it is "only" livestreaming, not on live TV (though the free dance and the gala are broadcasted on france 2 and france 3), but still, I can't believe it ! Perhaps Papadakis/Cizeron and Morgan/Ciprès medalling at Euros helped ? And Laurine performed well, too... The fact that the Olympics are next year must help, too. Or perhaps our three musketeers just wanted to spend a few days chatting together . Idk.

And yes I perfectly understand what you mean by love/hate relationship . They're a bit like these friends you love because of they're funny and overwhelmingly enthusiastic, but sometimes get ashamed of because they're just So. Loud. you just would like them to shut up :)
In any case, I like them 100 times more than french eurosport laconic, empty comments. And they love Yuzu, so it's a plus <3. Can't wait to hear their live comment either !

I only know about the commentaries by everyone's translations, since i watch the events with the ISU stream :P I don't think i could go back and watch the live event with commentary lol

Ugh next week by the looks of it will be monster for me. So many work deadlines TwT
The actual competitions are all morning (4am counts as morning?) which bodes well for staying sober ^_^, but the practices... hmm....

Agreed re an-an. Mie Noguchi's take on Yuzu hasn't been much different from her previous writing. What's your take on other magazines?? I always like Figure Skating Magazine a lot for the text. And of course ice jewel :)

Same here. Those two magazines are must-buy for me. I used to like Number’s figure skating issues, but lately they doesn’t look so stand-out because their writers are writing the same things in many other magazines and websites. I still like their choice of photos though. I sometimes buy Quadruple and Life partly for interviews of other skaters and partly because I loved their predecessors, Cutting-Edge and Days. In these magazines I could read three-cornered talk of Yuzu, Ryuju, Keiji, and long interviews of Yuzu when there weren’t many magazines. In these days Jewels covers such exclusive long interviews of Yuzu, but we can still learn something new about him through others’ words, especially in Quadruple. As for photo-centric magazines, I like Sportiva, Figure Skate memorial, Figure Skate Fan tsushin, FIGURE SKATING BEST SCENE, because their graphic design is rather simple, and they treat Yuzu as an athlete (about how much they differ from each other...) But in these days I’m trying not to buy them too much because I don’t re-read them as much as those magazines with long interviews.

Just how many skating magazines are there?

Awesome! Thanks for the recs :) Figure Skate Fan Tsushin is like "Yuzu special" every volume. So when they announced that next volume is "Yuzu special", I just :laugh2: I've been tempted by Quadruple, I like that they invite people like Oda and Takeshi to comment on current skaters and other topics.

I've never done that, but I can try...

:hap10:
Once you install it, you just select the 2nd tab for screen recording mode, press record and a small window pops up. You put it over the screen where the livestream is and press play. That's literally all it takes. Fingers crossed!

Quite a lot. But I think there's been even more ever since Yuzuru came on the scene. Ice Jewels and Fan Tsushin has been quite exclusively Yuzu-focused. But I could be mistaken.

Sigh - what a bonanza for a fan...
