I would give her lower PCS, closer to Mariah.

She has good SS, but I cant figure out why they give her 8's in performance.

They do! Just like they can use technology so long as it's determined not to compromise their beliefs/independence. Lots of them are even driving cars now (I think that shift happened as a result of some tragedies involving buggies getting hit on the road)

They have hi tech buggies now. But skating costumes may be thorny with them.

I thought Mai would have a redeeming Free Skate & here it is. 138, boom! Even better than I expected. Clean skate.

Also noteworthy changes of direction in skating / multi-directional skating was on display.

She should stay 1st for a while.

Disagree. Mariah was too obviously nervous. Mai went out there and slayed.

(If Mariah had skated less nervous/tight, then I would agree with you).

She was speedier, had better coverage, though, and more on the attacking side of things. Mariah had better interpretation (there's more nuance interpretation demanded in her music, where as Cinderella you just have to be joyful, effervescent, charm.)
