"Aggressively spanish" is such an awesome description  and yes, Javis SP is a Flamenco and not a Tango at all. As I said, I quite like it and he does well with it, but because it's so different from a Tango, I wouldn't deduce from it that Javi could sell a Tango (to me, I mean). I hope that was clearer :)

hahaha I see what you mean. I guess we'll never know until we see it, from either Yuzu or Javi ;)
but....trying to imagine Yuzu...doing tango....makes me giggle. Though I'm sure he'd commit very strongly to delievering it the best he possibly can

He will not do tango. What a relief. :handw:

Well, I trust the british uncles referring to Yuzu: This guy can do anything! And put the quads in it!

It is Olympic season. He will not do any experimental style; which means there will be no tango, jazz, flamenco etc.
He probably will do something that he is already familiar with and is well-praised for, which could be classical piano piece, rock/blues guitar strumming number, or perhaps a japanese-inspired dramatic composition.

I actually think he would do a mean flamenco/paso doble program though, but maybe lateeeerrrrr after oly or for an ex number.

In terms of difficulty, H&L is more up, however, 2015/2016 Programs (SEIMEI and Chopin Ballade) are still my current favorites. I wouldn't mind him doing a Tango, it would be interesting. But I've read somewhere that Brian said they're saving the best music for the Olys and hence, I look very much forward to it. :hap10:

Btw, that was a sweet pic of Yuzuru and Javier. :agree:

Well it would take him a while to get used to it and pull it off, but I don't think he'd be hopeless :p it depends on which style of tango he'd do... there are quite a few that are generally smoother and only use sharp movements/accentuated breaks in between as highlights.
Personally, I think Tango would suit him better than Jazz for example

Edit: I don't think we'll see him do a Tango next season either, very likely never. I'm just trying to defend the idea that he would do much, much better with it than people think  especially because I loooove Tangos and to a big extent they are a lot more about sharp, quick feet movement than overly staccato arm movements and I've never really seen a skater pull the feet stuff off :p

It makes me wonder how they have had something in mind...

I am sure he will listen to his team. H&L was an experiment and it proved to be a good one at last. But still it seems less liked then Seimei.

As for Spanish/Latin, why not? Not for Olympics of course. Iirc in the interview for finnish TV he said he wanted to try different kinds of music after Olys.

Yuzu is such a sweet hug machine...
It's pretty unusual for a japanese man to be such a hugger, or am I wrong ?

Hi, am new.

All i want to say is that i hope and pray for Yuzuru to use Rurouni Kenshin live action soundtrack for this lp next season

I... actually kinda like this idea. Especially Hiten. Not sure if it'd be a suitable music choice for skating, though, but I do love the movie soundtrack.

One of my favorite EX of his is actually Sing Sing Sing, which is not a style that's usually attached to him but he sold that very well, and he was so young!

that'll be pretty cool. maybe he can also do heartache by OOR (one of his fave bands right) for EX. would be funny if his programs are all Rurouni Kenshin themed.

If it's gonna be Rurouni Kenshin, then I'd find it interesting to see him skate to Kotowari. :agree:

Ah, Trust & Betrayal. My favorite OVA. I love this theme so much but it sounds a bit slow for skating? At least I'm having a hard time thinking of jumping moments. Maybe in an EX?

Anyway, just read this whole balletic talk few pages back. After rewatching his performances this season, I am more convinced yuzuru fits more of a lyrical-contemporary style rather than "balletic". Especially during, Notte stellata, it is just evident; the way he accentuate the beat and highlight of the music with his body, hand movement to his finger. I think it would be nice if he actually seriously develop on it, imo, take actual dance classes of that style and make that style his trademark in figure skating. It's not like FS has to be balletic, I think it was since skaters like curry who start making FS more "balletic" in a sense that "commentators" start expecting more "balletic" skaters? Skaters before him is not really "balletic" imo. (I would not even say current skaters as "balletic" too, never considered plush or yags to be "balletic", for example)

Yes, I'm thinking of it for an EX.

But whatever music they choose, I hope it's going to be a huge "Surprise". :p
