Who is responsible for that?I do not think Yuzuru is.
Yes, it was on him. He took over 30 seconds after his name was called. That's why in the FS he used the time the skaters were leaving the ice for his rituals.

I wonder if quad-quad combo does make sense for the next season's layout. There must be a reason for practicing it, not just to have fun. That's why he did a Quad-Quad combination at the end of Worlds gala this year.
Because some people get punished harshly on it but some do not get punished at all? People would mind less if Zhenia and Osmond get rightful calls for their flutz. The issue is they don't get called at all makes many people find it wrong and the judging is not trusthy.
With edge jumps, they're allowed to have pre-rotation to some degree. With toe jumps like Flip and Luzt, there should be none. How about I send you slow motion and see that Yuzuru and Boyang, and Patrick have the least and almost none pre-rotation in Toe Jumps? Heck, US men are the same. Jason Brown (with all the critic against his jumps) does not have pre-rotation in toe jumps as well.

I'm not very knowlegeable in jump technique, so what kept him from standing that lutz? It looks like his weight was under him

Maybe you are right. Now I remember all the crazy things he did at GPF 2016 gala practice... it was just for fun, really.Kurt Browning once said a few years ago that he was rumored to be able to do 3 Triple Axels in a row (which he can, I have video evidence, with a Quad Toe in front as well) and Quad-Quad combinations. But he did it for fun before, now I don't know, maybe he will be doing a Quad-Quad next year, who knows?

If they did reduce it to 7 jumping passes layout
If they did that, then it'll be highly unlikely anyone would ever beat Yuzu's FS scores, but in the future maybe the Quad Axel would have already been the norm and people are doing Quints so Idk, but that's highly unlikely I think.

Quad-quad doesn't really make much sense risk wise because attaching a quad at the end of the combo doesn't really give you any more points BV wise than doing it in isolation. There's no scale for difficulty in combos. Maybe the wow factor could get some more +3 on a combo like that but landing the second quad out of very little speed seems very difficult. As a possibility, it makes a lot more sense post-Olympics, though, when they remove one jumping pass.
Well, not really, Yuzuru's score was with just 4 quads, a 5/6 quad layout can still beat it. Yuna's SP and FS score was around when Spiral sequence was still a thing and GOE for triples had x1.0 factor. Yet medvedeva can still beat it, even without a 3A. They might tweak the BV a bit too. So fear not, someone would break it![]()
Oh wow Morozombie loves Yuzu again!
Time to open a bottle of champagne and celebrate![]()
Plus aren't they also considering changing GOE to -5 +5? That could pad up scores even with 1 less jumping pass.

They will change the factor though. 0.4 for triples and 0.6 for quads, maybe, that's the best. Otherwise it would be a bit unfair don't you think?v
A good writer-FS blogger who has the tendency to use flowery words (you can read from the post above) and has a love-hate relationship with Yuzuru (and his costumes). One of the rare people who predicted correctly that Yuzuru would win Olympic when he was 17.Who is Morozombie?
His love is flicker like the aria La Dona e mobile. :noshake:
