Talk show is interesting. Shizuka talking about her Olympic experience. How it was not common for Japanese to win at the time. And about how many great Skaters come from Sendai. She wasn't competing at the time to win but more to be the highest placing from team Japan.

Yuzu says
Nagano Olympics encouraged his sister to skate which later encouraged Yuzu to skate.

Thank you :luv17: I had no idea of what was going on, except something about Nagano

Shizuka talks about doing her extra triple jumps in practice at the Olympics as a psychological warfare.

Yuzu talks about how he is aware of other skaters during the practices but not 6 min warmups.

Shizuka talks about how people can't remember her name, but call her Ina Bauer instead. -How the public thought that Ina Bauer was the layback position, not the position of the feet.

Yuzu said he chose blue for his SP costume for luck. at Sochi.

Yuzu talks about training with the best in Canada in all categories and about the atmosphere between him and Javi has changed. More of a rivalry now but not antagonistic.

Yuzu talks about being really tired after the SP in sochi and how surprised he was that he won gold, too surprised to be happy. So all he could say was 'Kuyashii'
Shizuka was at sochi and said watching the last group, they were all so nervous. The Olympics can take away the ability to skate as usual, people who never make mistakes make them. -That's the Olympics.

Yuzu talks about how difficult it was after the SP. The gap itself was not insurmountable, but the skating level was so high, it was difficult. But he was able to explode in the FS in just the right way.

Shizuka talks about how all the food in Sendai tastes so good to her. She comes back to Sendai, looking forward to eating. She said she gained more weight as a young 20's than she does now in her 30's.

Yuzu says Sendai is the 'off' (relaxing) place he remembers going to parks etc. When he is not training, he's playing games. -And takes it seriously. Coming home is relaxing. Going to Canada is for skating. Coming home surrounded by family is comforting.

WTT is coming soon. so he needs to practice. but he only practices 2 hours a day, but he practices intensely. Very intensely.

Real thoughts about the Monument:
Shizuka, honestly a little embarrasing, looking at Yuzu's is cool
Yuzu says, compared to what Shizuka is doing, he's doing a really simple pose. Shizuka's eyes are wide open in the monument. Reaaaallly wide open.

I gotta catch a train so that's it for now.

Thank you!!:)

A question from the audience:"What are three skating skills you like most?"
Yuzu's answer: "Axel jump, sit spin, and ....(thinking for a while) Salchow jump for now."

Have been lurking around for quite a few months, and decided to have my first post sharing some of the Q&A I like during the monuments interview ;p

1) They were talking about the change of programme during season by Shizuka, I think.
Q: What if the choreographer tell Hanyu-senshu to consider changing the programme, like entirely?
A: Um...I think I will insist on that programme. I want to show him "You see! That's exactly what I want to perform, what I am capable of".

2) A: What is your favourite technique/jumps? Please give us 3.
A: THREE!? OK... The first is of course Axel, no matter double/triple. I used to practise for 45 mins just jumping the Axels. The second is sit spin, coz my hip joint is very flexible and can have a very deep siting position, it matches the choreography and makes me feel good. The last.... is Salchow, just for now, because I landed it in the second half.

Aww..You know...I reallllllly want to be that little girl there being pat by him T-T And him wanting to drink nicely with a straw, then dropping the straw to the table is just cuteness overload!!!
