Speaking of lockscreens, does anyone have any other photos of Yuzu that they use as their lock screen?
This is my current background.
I don't put pictures on my lock screen since everyone can see it. My background on the other hand is for me only.

Thank you for translating and sharing!
The part I liked most is about the consistency. When a praise like this comes from one of your biggest rivals it means quite a lot.

Lol idk why you bring this here, apparently this pisses off some of his Japanese fans (international ones too), from what I see. Anywho, this is a mark of the start of olympic season. You'll be seeing more articles like this in the near future.![]()
Since I don't understand japanese, I hope this is just a case of media misquoting like usual. Because if not, I'm just...disappointed. What does "being emotional" means in a program anyway![]()
The majority of articles are favorable though. It's a better use of time to focus on the positive.Seriously. And it's only been a few days into the off season! Ah well. Same old, same old.
Well, fasten your seat-belts folks. Olympics season has officially started!

Ah. Nagoya has started the mud slinging I see. Well Akiko goes on my list that is not named in a polite manner.

It's just that Akiko has opinions and preferences in style like any other figure skating fan. She and Daisuke Takahashi have a very distinct and dramatic style and they may like to see it in others. Her criticism is her opinion. -Others think that Yuzu conveyed emotion just fine. But folks are allowed to have their own likes and dislikes, opinions, etc. Personally, the music for Hope and legacy is delicate and atmospheric, so the way he chose to portray it is perfectly suited. -No miming, no over the top acting...just skating with the flow. Let's go Crazy is a rock song, so full-on acting, hand gestures, facial expressions and emotions were called for- and delivered by Yuzu.
Since Yuzu is so famous and has won so much, everyone has an opinion about him. If I were to get really angry every time there was an article about Yuzu I didn't like, I wouldn't have time to enjoy his skating. The majority of articles are favorable though. It's a better use of time to focus on the positive.
What annoys me is that this trigger my personal studipity allergy.
The woman that landed her first triple-triple at what 24, 25? No matter, dinosaur age for ladies, states Yuzu will have a hard time improving technically like Nathan and Shoma can due to... age.
That sounds legit :cool14:
I'm honestly disappointed, I thought Akko wouldn't get into this stuff![]()

She would be happy though, she joined Dai.

I really don't get the Yuzu lacks emotion comments for H&L :scratch3: I mean, the piece is not "emotion-inducing" to start with. You don't need drama for this type of music. It's more a portrayal of serenity and calmness. It's not like Seimei or R&J, big music which needs big emotions/drama.![]()
I didn't know that it's a 'common thing' before the olympic, so thank you all for the clarification(this is gonna be my firs olympic season so any suggestions is accepted) . I'm just a bit disappointed because it came from Akiko and I actually like her...![]()
Besides, she probably hasn't met Yuzu in person for about a year. She probably doesn't have inside knowledge about his training or his technical plans. Her comments are those of a knowledgeable outsider. As such, she wouldn't be wrong in thinking that it may be difficult to add tech content past at 22 years of age. She did, but it was a great struggle wasn't it? --Yuzu is an outlier, a technical genius that comes once in a blue moon.Ikr, I'm not even mad.Well kansai camp has nothing to do with him this quad, because they don't have contender, so Nagoya camp it is this year
My suggestion to other fans (who might be new): ignore Nagoya media, articles, or comments from their skaters/coaches this olympic season, it is better for youThere is a reason you don't see it much translated here or in his FB group. Same old, same old.
