Good morning every one, the more I think about it, the more 'ok' I am with it.
Not thrilled, but ok. As others have said, Yuzu's the one having to take the risks and make the decisions, so I'm going to be supportive of them.
Some TV clips of the show!

It's true you can't please everyone. But it seems the general reaction is even less enthusiastic than the disappointment from some of us fans. He must have big plans to overcome people's skepticism. Surely he and his team must have anticipated there would be this reaction.
In today's show, Yuzu landed a 4T in the opening, with Chopin 2Lo, 3A, 4T3T, and in the finale jump battle 1lo, 4Lo fall. A lot of falls in the jump battle from everyone. But Nobu did a 4T3T!

People who attended the show reported that the ice was far from good condition so skaters fell a lot. Also arena seemed a bit small for Yuzuru's SE 4lo. In my opinion he still needs to catch right tempo for lo there. On the other hand his second half jumps were without hesitation, massive and sure for both days. According to some reports Ballade 3.0 reminded them old, original Chopin 1.0 version, several new and quite nice touches added to choreography.
I'm quite happy about his toe, it seems they really found a way to train it avoiding injuries.
Re layout: I am kind of agree with Handomi, He needs to get back the edge he usually had in SP, so going for Lz will be unnecessary risk imo. This layout is still higher by 1.5 pts than last year's so there is still an upgrade and if he is clean he can always score 111-112 with it anytime. I don't see any men outscoring, if he is clean to be honest. So for the SP I feel he needs to get back his good feelings and the edge he used to have. On the other hand I am pretty sure he will go for quad lz and maybe for 5 quad layout in LP.
There has been some snippets from coming new Ice Jewel mag interview, it seems he was talking about the importance of consistency, analyzing Russian strategy and Zhenya's ability of being clean most of the time. Interview will be out soon but so far every step he's taken now ,is making his main goal clear. He wants to focus on jumps and be as much comfortable and consistent as possible.
I don't think he will add 4lz. I believe he will do 5 quads but with 2x4T instead of one axel. His toe is now equally as consistent as 3A and he can do it with great quality in 2nd half
