That almost doesn't look like his arms. Looks like his head super-imposed on someone else's body. Could that be?

lol i have no idea where that photo is from so it could definitely be photoshopped idk!! i thought it looked legit tho

Off-topic (I mean, off the topic of 'thighs'):  is there any English translation of Sho(u)ma's recent interview for 'Olympian' 2017?

All male figure skaters have muscled arms no matter how thin or babyish looking they are :). It can't be otherwise with how much off-ice training in gym etc. they have to do.

Agreed. I also think it's Shoma's real body not photoshopped. We discussed it before but his body type isn't slim and long limbed, he seems more muscled. You can see his abs when his t-shirt rides up during his Ex skate. Even though he mainly needs the strength in his legs you can see in the videos of his training in Chicago that he's doing a handstand among other things. I think his arms aren't that different to those legs/mighty thighs.

Well, maybe we now have Muscles Shomita. I guess he did say recently the 3 costumes he had planned to wear didn't fit him that well because (in his words!) he had "buffed up". Makes sense. More muscle mass as he gets older. His upper body still looks SO small to me though. Oh well.

LOVE the translation on the Olympics. He really has the right attitude, and I hope he can continue to think that way as the season goes on. I'll be very anxious to see what his team's plan is for the upcoming year -- how many Challenger events will he do? How many times will he come to work with Alex?, etc. Now if we can just get him to skip the (unnecessary) quad battles. That would make me so happy.

Welcome to all new arrivals in here! :)

Thx for posting the translation, Hronop! Sho continues to impress with his maturity and choice of wise words! He has a (future) champion's mindset and work ethic with a genuine love for skating, but it's also good to know he's still reminding himself to relax every once in a while. Great interview!

They're also emphasized by the lighting in that picture (yet he doesn't look particularly muscular to me in comparison to older male skaters with a few more years of buffing up). It's still a somewhat weird photo. Almost looks like Shooms is wearing a headband. And does he shave his armpits? :reye:

Jackie Wong counting down his top 50 favourite performances of the past season on rockerskating - Shoma's LiL at Worlds came in 6th! Some very complimentary words from Mr. Wong at the end there, which I wholeheartedly agree with :

Did we have this splendid shopped photo from FaoI in Makuhari? Shōruman, master of the elements, casting a powerful magic spell! That's some very intense stare! If that doesn't force the unruly Lutz into submission, nothing will. :dev2: ;)

Edit: Finally some proof that FaoI in Kobe is actually happening!!!

SP report in FaOI Kobe: 4F(fall), 4T, 3A(fall). He looked quite apologetic but his steps and spins were great!

is that show slowly turning everyone into furries?

fans were saying Sho's 4F fall was really scary and looked painful. Hope he is ok! :con3:

^^^ Ouch, hope so too! :( So many reported falls since yesterday. I hope they're abstaining from the quad battles today, if the ice condition still hasn't improved.

Just in: Shoma and Deniss are riding the zamboni today! :yes2:

Edit: Too late! Apparently Shoma popped the first 4Lz attempt into a single and fell on the second one during the finale. :ohwell:

I'm not worried. He's tough. I mean, we don't know how many times he falls in practice and normally, if it's not filmed, we don't even get to know about the falls in shows. They probably happen all the time. Stand up and keep on skating. If his spins were good, there's no worries.

yeah... back to Simon saying "you watch him on a practice session, the falls he takes are unbelievable" at the beginning of the season :hopelessness:

Yeah the 4F fall looked and sounded painful, but he did not seem hurt at all. But that 4Lz! He almost had it.
Also, if I remember correctly he landed a 3T in the opening :)
