Is it just me, or is he getting more handsome & masculine by the day? *swoon*

I don't think it was a serious injury or he wouldn't have trained as hard in Chicago like he did. It makes no sense to do that when you're injured.

No, it's not just you . I just watched the GPF 2015 again and he looks so young in it. Totally different from now.

Also, he skated 2 numbers in 2 shows in Chicago. I'd imagine that he wouldn't have performed at all if it was something serious.

I was thinking the exact same thing. He just keeps looking better and better, especially when he wears the colors from his correct color "palette". But I still can't help but call him "cute"! :cool14:

Handsome, sexy, cute....all combined in one smol fluffy Shoball! :)

Also--the light hits his face just right. He looks--well, as everyone has pointed out, more handsome. And cute at the same time!

Arriba, how could you survive Shoma appearing before your eyes?

I almost didn't. That's why I said when I was so close to him that I could see the tiny beauty marks on his cheeks (that are SO cute), I knew I was WAY TOO CLOSE! And I know a couple Japanese words and wanted to try to say something to him in Japanese. Forget it! I forgot how to even speak English! But patting him on the head was better! Ha!...I am already practicing how to tell him that I like his short program, just in case I should happen to see him.

Going back to things we were saying about Shoma merchandise, I completely forgot that it is VERY easy to have mouse pads and calendars made! I have done it for gifts for people, and it's easy and not that expensive. I definitely am going to make a mouse pad! I think I'm going to make it of the Glacier photo I took where he is standing there with the 3 kids. https://t.co/jUBlJ7uGDj

Reading your experience is making my heart race too oh my god--I'm glad you lived to tell the tale.

Yeah, go make your mouse pad, Arriba!!

I love the second one.

"Take my hand, babe, everything's going to be alright, ShoSho's gonna take care of you!"

Lucky PIW attendees indeed!

This shot amuses me, very otome game-like. I can't imagine him as the type that can assure me that he will take care of me though

The bleak reality is that someone's handing him a gift in that picture. Doesn't stop us here in the Shoma FF to make our own caption contest. Join the fun!

'If I land a proper 3Lz, will you go on a yakiniku date with me? Together, we venture into beef and rice."

So happy to see all the updates! Although I sometimes wish he would rest more, I guess we're also lucky that he joins so many ice shows and we get to see updates and new photos. The questions by the fans are so fun, and the interactions and his answers are really amusing. I laughed at the translation to this tweet, where he was given a photo by a fan and he identified it as possibly being in Rostelecom due to his "noodly" hair. That was a really good description! Plus, no way do I believe that his doing so well at darts was a one-time thing. :p I think that's either his sense of humor or his modesty replying, I'm not sure which.

So diet-wise, we know: 1) he doesn't eat vegetables, 2) no bread (?!)--> so mainly rice for carbs, 3) no yakitori (really??? But that's usually meat!), 4) he doesn't like sauces. I wonder if he eats ramen. So we're left with meat, rice, and sweets. Of course milk tea. Wow, what a balanced diet! :drama: :laugh2: Good call on the yakiniku date, iorii. Looking forward to more entries to MaiKatze's caption contest.

Noodly hair, that's accurate. I love Shoma's unruly, noodly hair.

Thank you, I'm glad you appreciated it. Looking forward to more entries as well;)

From today's PIW, some Q&A:
Q:What did you practice in Canada?
S:For about 2 weeks, just skating. No jumps. Working on steps (skating skills) and choreography.

Q: You're busy but have you been taking small rests?
S: Ahh.. I haven't really been resting.. (^_^;)

Shoma, nooo, please, just take a day off!

Q: Shoma-kun, did you slim down? You're slimmer? *concerned*
S: Eh?? That's not the case. I'm eating a lot!

His injury was in his left ankle.

I don't really have a problem with the costume. It's pretty sure that what he's wearing at the shows these days are not competition costumes. And even if they are, I don't care one bit. Imho, Shoma looks better each day that passes by, he could skate naked and I wouldn't care. :eeking: Nope, no costume can make him unattractive, he always looks good.

Finally went to PIW Tokyo today. It was GREAT. Found a little bit of difference by comparing with the previous music, he did well jumps, combo, spins, almost perfect. My seat's really good one to see whole program. He seemed to lose some weight, but staying healthy as jumped a lot. All're excited, even now I can't come back to the real world😁

I don't know if it's been posted....

Shoma performed “Turandot” at the afternoon show of PIW Tokyo, 7/17. Element layout: 3A(stepout), 3Lo, 3A, FCSp, FCCoSp, StSq // 3F(stepout), lunge, 3-turns into 4T, spreadeagle, counter into 4T, 3A, 3S, ChSq, CCoSp.

What do you think is going to be his layout starting the season in Italy? And, whatever that layout is, do you think it's going to be the same layout we'll see at the Olympics? Will Shoma do another season of adding difficulties steadily and peak at the Olympics? I think he isn't under pressure as much in his GP's....if he wins them, nice, if he loses them against Javier and Patrick, he's still in a very good position.

Oh wow, Kanna that's great. How is the music different? Is it another singer or different parts? I just cannot unsee 2015/16 Turandot so it's hard to imagine....cantilever into final spin?

I've been thinking with these past two Turandot performances that he's planning to do 4Lz 4Lo 3A // 4F2T 4T3T 4T 3A1Lo3F 3S. That's around 113 BV if I'm not mistaken. I think the 3A might end up going solo in the first half because I'm not sure he'll want to stop having all his combos in the second half.

If the 4Lz doesn't get ready in time, then he'll probably do the WTT layout, with two 4F and the 4F combo in the second half, which was around 107-108 BV.
