Even though the program is so new, even though the sound quality is... lacking, I'm utterly emotionally mesmerised by it. I feel almost... weepy. This might very well become my favourite Jason program...

Ben is actually quite flexible for a guy (full splits every direction I believe...his IG shows it some! I just don't think his program shows it off for whatever reason...
Totally and completely fluent...not even an accent!
Very level headed! And she either graduated HS this year or is graduating this coming year.
That's Emily's puppy Hamilton...
All the 7K kids are practicing at Toyota Center while they're in town for Glacier...so Kori is there...but Jason could be working with Frank while he's there as well.

I am in love with his 4S. He stood up on his first attempt at it... Good job! I love love love where he does it. He does not take the full rink to set up, he does it in the center, it comes out of nowhere... just bam! Beautiful.
I think he needs to work on his illusions if he is going to end with them. Illusions are hard to do well, and while his are better than average, he is known for his spins, he gets perfect scores on his spins... he needs to end on a near perfect spin and in this case he needs near perfect illusions... they are not near perfect yet.
I also think the ending position is a bit lacking. I think he should hit more of an Arakawa style Ina Bauer position and try to arch his back till his man bun touches his bunghole. Show off that flexibility and gives us a ending position less similar to the SP.

The max TES with +3 GOE is 118.04 ( Maximum BV = 90.94). Given that the medalists last year had GOE of 118-126 (BV 103.7-104.74), it's going to be really tough to break the podium. However, he should have enough to make the US team if nothing else.
We'll see.

Jason is another one of my new discoveries (sorry, not as up to date as other fans!), and I LOVE his charisma- what a character! And random, but can anyone tell me if he's related to Kimmie Meissner, please? I think they look like bro and sis, but after googling couldn't find any info! Does anyone know?
Definitely not related! I do see a resemblance, though!
TMC would be so excited if that happened.
The media summit conflicts with Nebelhorn, iirc. Maybe he'll do Lombardia or Autumn Classic? He might try for back-to-back to stimulate the team event again.
Based on an interview I read from Polina Edmunds (she mentioned in it she's going to Finlandia) that it's likely he knows his senior B plans.

Yes you're right - it's 9/24-27, so it overlaps with Nebelhorn one day.
He could do one of SLC or Lombardia, and one of Canada or Nepala. Or if he doesn't care about the back to back, any one of the above + Finlandia. Autumn Classic makes sense as a second comp because it's closer to home and he's got Skate Canada, though it's not the same rink.
Guess we'll see!

never thought that someone actually will ever achieve this kind of 'consuming integration' of music and movement in step sequences after Daisuke, but Jason really have something special to show in that department (his, Patrick's and Shoma's step sequence are probably my favourite at this moment). It kind of rare to see in my opinion such great understanding of how particular music genre works and how to move to it/interpret it by movement, not even talking about facial expression - and it's double hard for me to take on fast-paced music WITH dialogues AND such vivid storyline associated and then make it work on ice
regarding SP, I see the point of those having reservations over dialogue, saying that - as per above thought, I do think that Jason and his team are doing the best thing possible to skate this SP in small/bigger competitions so early on, because with such piece it takes time and try-outs to get it going in right speed and character I think. There is A LOT to take on: 'Hamilton' play character, dialogue used, character to portray, music pace, choreography, expression AND make it all work in a favour of skater. I see it as maybe the biggest challenge in Jason's programs history yet, but I do believe he's got charisma, determination and certain vision to polish it to the great level. The performance quality is there from the very first showing I have to say, which is fantastic, because with some skaters it's just very easy to get lost into performance itself, feeling at ease with what you see, and Jason is one of those rare examples in my case.
about FS...I have to say that the raw potential of that program is off charts from what I saw - and people seems to agree with that, based on reaction. Moreover - it seems that Jason himself and his team realize how big the potential and impact of that program is, which makes the excitement and even more determination to get those quads fully on board. It might sound cheesy and lame, but really - there is a poetry quality in that program and Jason's way of feeling it. Some skaters - even very skilled technically - will probably never get this level of seamless harmony in feeling the music, interpreting it and giving out the emotion to the audiences, it's just such unique feature, gift to have and personally I feel fortunate and privileged to live and witness skater like Jason skating, this FS proves that (yet once again). The program itself is crafted beautifully, with such subtle emphasis on Jason's way of movement, expression - it's effective, but not in 'showy'/'in your face' way. There is something very ethereal, yet strong and distinctive in that music and program - making an impression, an abstract feeling so 'direct' and physical.

I think Autumn Classic is a good idea. I do not see any Canadian competitions listed in Jason's bio. Has he ever competed there before?
Once. JGPF 2011-2012 in Quebec City. It's been a while.

the best idea (a selfish one) would be him to go to Nepela - then I just would have to go there no matter what!

It's occurred to me that Jason's been in some far-flung places in his skating career, such as Brisbane, Australia (which is the first JGP this season!) and Istanbul, Turkey during his JGP days. Oddly enough, his competitions closer to home have mainly been limited to doing Skate America for four years, the U.S. International Classic and the JGPF I mentioned above (and National competitions of course).
He will be at Skate Canada this season. After this season, Cup of China will be the only GP he hasn't done.
