Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

I guess the succes rate must have been pretty high that they decided to put 4lz in program. I wonder if he is going to attempt it in actual competition or will just do 3lz at beginning as Orser said that only no quad loop here

I don't think he will attempt 4Lz in this competition because he has not tried single one in the practice. But we waited long enough, I don't mind if he will show us just one beautiful 4Lz in the practice near future

Yude--thank you so much for posting the dailymotion link (blocked of course on YT). Complete elegance, grace, and strength in every line! Stunningly more so even since last year, IMHO.

I think that those are the qualities innate to Yuzuru, regardless of a program and season. They are there to stay, there's no point of questioning them, just wondering what will be the intensity of them.

Fingers crossed for today - I hope that the performance will go as Yuzuru would like it to go, stripped from difficulty or not,

According to the report,
3Lz, counter-3A, 4T3T(rippon), 1S, 3S(fall), 4Lo, 4S-eagle, counter-3A (both hands down), 4T3T(rippon), 3A

I was a little bit disappointed about his run-through tbh... Very shaky 4Lo and (!) 3A and popped combination, but what made me sad: everything looked so half-hearted, tired, sloppy... no real choreo - focus on the jumps only...

To his defense: the Doughnut-spin was really awesome!

?? Its a run-though, no defense needed. He didn't even need to do the jumps if he didn't want to.

TBH because I worried about his knee pain, he could only do the steps and some spins and go home, and I'd be relieved :drama:
Even if he bombs badly the program, the only thing I'll care is for his health. I guess I have to wait until the night before starting to freak out.:slink:

I never expected him to show a perfect short programme (that would be mad). But I had the impression that yesterday he felt fresher and a bit more focused, didn't he?
