Counter (I hope my spelling is right...) is a name of the turn he always does before 3A.

I was a little bit disappointed about his run-through tbh... Very shaky 4Lo and (!) 3A and popped combination, but what made me sad: everything looked so half-hearted, tired, sloppy... no real choreo - focus on the jumps only...

To his defense: the Doughnut-spin was really awesome!

Knowing his situation right now, I just hope the pain in his right knee won't grow. Yes, spin was very beautiful

I can understand the feeling of unease if the practice did not go well; however I have been to enough open practices in person and can tell you that it really doesn't mean much at all! 99% of the time it has no bearing on what happens in competition- I had to learn it myself!

Yes, it looks like the same costume from 2015. Well, it's not very Yuzu, to have same costume for 2 season.

OMG. That was awesome.

He nailed his 4T+3T in warmup... then the 4S...

And just before his competition skate, he had his "game face" on.
His unbelievable acceleration as he started...
...I just knew something special was going to happen.

His jumps... his speed... his transitions... the complexity and sophistication of his choreography... his mind-boggling sit spin... his commanding presence... etc etc. Incredible. Having just seen Javier score 101, I was already sure this would be a new WR.

With this perfromance, Yuzu has sent a message to all pretenders to His Throne... to the fickle media... to the world...

Those beautiful hands during sit spin, the smooth yet sharp StSq, 4T-3T rippon of art, flawless back-counter 3A--it's going to be an endless list. Beautiful. Perfection.

This is the beginning of Chopin Ballade 3.0, not the most refined version, and he gave us this. Sore knee, no 4Lo. Somehow I feel like the beginning part of the program could be sharper? I feel like I have seen his sharper moves for that part. Could be just me though.

Scary, Yuzuru is scary, everyone is starting the season with unbelievable scores I'm getting scared--I hope they will be consistent and not just peaking too early.
