I had some trouble eating local food there but never mind I am survived! lol
My seat was overall good, especially on the first day practice! Yuzu was so gorgeous in every single move.
If you all have some time please go visit Russia! I love so many places there! Such a beautiful country!

We understand Brian Orser is in the hospital in Regina undergoing emergency gallbladder surgery. We wish him the best.

We've learned that the surgery Brian underwent was "standard" & that he could leave the hospital as early as tmw. We'll have more later.

Brian Orser is resting comfortably. Doctors have decided to operate Saturday morning in Regina. We will provide updates when available.

Yuzuru must be surprised and worried about this news (I am, too), I wish him speedy recovery.

I'm worried for Brian as well. And also for Javi whose competition is coming. Brian may complicate his recovery by getting up too soon. -Maybe Tracy will go instead? Best wishes for his quick recovery. :(

I was really surprised when i didn’t see Mr Orser with Cha Jun Hwan at the Kiss and Cry of Skate Canada, that’s the reason why... :(

But CCT have very strong coaches team, I am sure they won’t let Javi or Yuzu feel like they are flighting alone. (But everyone still need him back)
I wish him speedy recovery and have some good rest in between.

I got very worried too, wish him all the best. Hope he can rest a bit after surgery. Gabby and Javi are going to CoC together, maybe Lee Barkell take care of Javi too like Jun yesterday. I think if Brian is not recovered by NHK either Tracy or Ghishlain Briand, maybe both will go to NHK with Yuzu like WTT.

I"m sure the coaching staff at TCC is doing a little bit of brain storming right now to figure out different coaching/travel scenarios for the next few weeks. It all depends on the doctors and Brian. This is one more scenario where having multiple coaches is a good thing.

I'm really glad that Yuzu did not compete in Canada this time. The complete judging was a mess, especially in the women's field. I was shocked after Patrick's error-filled free skate and Shoma and Jason made a couple of unusual mistakes, too.

Do you think, that will take the pressure a bit off from Yuzu at NHK? Literally there won't be any other skater except him of the 300-league and Patrick's chance to qualify for the GP Final have shrunk to a minimum already.

Yuzu thrives on tough competition, so I'd rather a healthy Patrick be there to compete with.

The pressure is definitely not off! It's an Olympic season, every competition is a moment to prove yourself. Especially with Shoma winning at Canada, Yuzu will most surely be motivated and pressured by media :drama:

The pressure is very much on, even more so after CoR, and SC now with what Shoma produced ... however that happened ... because you have to look at the season as a whole, especially an Olympics season. You're looking to ride the wave up to the Olympics, with good skates. Shoma's doing it, and apart from Nathan, that's his closest competition so he's going to be under pressure to produce as well.

Mostly it's really about producing the SP. I am pretty sure nobody expects a fully clean FS at this point. This is mostly what he's been talking about too, his highest average and gaining more consistency. Or at least, the appearance of consistency considering the double standards going around.

There is a probability that Patrick withdraws from NHK:

It means there is no threat for Yuzu in NHK and guess what? It's harder for him to win an easy field than a tough one, I'm worried :(
