2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

My thoughts exactly! The skating protocols just show all the ladies except for Osmond being hammered with underrotations. We understand you want your skater to win, but please be fair.

I am Canadian, but I don't like bias. It was such a poor ladies event that I think Osmond edging out the win is OK, but the points were too high. But I am the farthest from an expert so it's reasonable to think Sotskova could have deserved the win too.

Oh wow never realized Sasha's hair is so long! I wonder how long it takes her to put her hair up in a bun for her comps haha

It really is :eeking: It's the first thing I noticed in the picture. It must take a crazy amount of time to clean and get rid of all the split ends and such. It has to help in her training to be patient and not rush ;)

Has she done a "Tangled" program yet?

As a kid, I had hair like that. Actually, all it took was about 10 min to brush and braid it in the morning. If the braid is well done, it looks good through all the day. To put the hair up, instead of undoing the braid, brushing and putting up, i would just put up the braid most of the time.
I mean, its not something that you can brush in 10 seconds, but its not such a big deal.

Kittens' short program has ended!

I missed the start, but from what I saw:

1) Anastasia Zinina - what a beautiful and elegant little lady! Very charming skating, I guess she just started to learn triples, but it's okay.
2) Sofia Akatieva - as always strong and amazing skating! But her SP music is a total crap. Poor kid, at such young age skating to this garbage music... Just ugh.
3) Sofia Samodelkina - very strong! That was really good.
4) Polina Popova - also strong layout, and good skating!

Liza Berestovskaya was very good too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-uHx7aFdEA

That's a very good channel, by the way. Is it yours? If so, thank you for your work! Now I know where I can find videos with the future figure skating stars.

No, it is not mine. I found it quite by chance. And I want, too, to express my gratitude to the person uploading videos to this channel whoever that might be.

Ok, so this is the last stage of the competition that determines which lucky ladies get to go to senior nationals??

No. There are two other stages as well. Tsurskaya qualified by getting GP assignments, and Trusova qualified to seniors by making the JGPF and to juniors (along with Nastya G, Stasya, and Alisa) by getting a JGP assignment.
