so on British Eurosport they said that Shoma has an ankle injury

One of them said "I have it from a good source" but he didn't name it. Well, if Shoma is injured there's still a couple weeks time before his next GP, and it's clearly not anything debilitating because the EX was totally clean and smooth and he looked comfortable. Let's hope he gets the rest he needs so it doesn't develop into something serious and see him medal again in France!

He probably knows it from co presenter Chris Howarth who is the director of the Chicago rink where Shoma trains with Alex.

But if Shoma delivers such programs with an injury, what the heck does he do if he's healthy? Well, he can let his ankle rest a bit during the next 3 weeks and doesn't have to do anything risky in France. 4th place will do.

even I didn' t know the story..injury? In Aug, he was, at FOI I heard the announce about that. at least in SP of Skate CAN he said he's super fine..if so, after Free?

Arriba wrote in the Mens SP or FS thread that Shoma looked like he was having ankle problems. Do you guys remember Shoma opting out of some show event in summer, because of his ankle? I'm getting worried now, because that really does sound like a long time to be having troubles. Damn.

Shoma did have ankle problems this summer. he said himself that putting the blade not in the center to help on 4Lo created those problems that's why they put it back in the middle. When he was in Chicago the 1st time for the "Back to the future" show he said he couldn't practice because of the injury. Then during the summer shows he still had some problems and during one of the "Shizuka and Friends" show he didn't do his solo program for that reason.
So he did have that ankle injury. But if it is still ongoing now, as the Eurosport commentator was saying, then it's an injury that he has been carrying for a long time and that really doesn't sound too good. Eurosport commentators are not always the most accurate about those kind of infos but here they do have 1st hand insider knowledge so that's why i believe that info is true. I doubt they would confuse ankle injury with breaking in new boots.

That might be the main reason for excluding quadruple salchow from his layout...
I'm not too worried though. Shoma looked absolutely fine in his SP, FP, and EX this weekend, jumped well (that 4F in the short and 4Lo in the free program looked brilliant!). He might be struggling a bit with that injury he had in August, but I hope it won't last long. Anyway, he has 3 weeks before the next GP event in France, and I am sure his team will use that time wisely. No need to panic right now, methinks. The layout he has now, even without the salchow, is more than enough for either winning that event, or at the very least settling for silver or bronze, and qualifying for the GPF in Nagoya.
Btw, his jumping technique looked better, or I am imagining things? I mean, that 4F in the SP was solid, wasn't it? If he really has ankle issues, it might force him to work on his landings, which is only good both for his health and for GOEs.

I feel that the EX this town has gotten more beautiful. Like he knows how to move effortlessly with the music more. Beautiful.

I felt bad for the costume designer so I asked my designer/stylist friend for her opinion and she said 'it's okay/common, especially for performance clothes like this. My job sometimes makes me cut antique one-of-a-kind clothing. Clothes are art to be worn. If not, they're only displays on mannequins. I only feel bad for the seamstress who did the beading, it has to be taken off and redone because the way it's cut.'

Last week it was a fierce battle between Nathan Chen and Yuzuru Hanyu. Uno appears to be in a more comfortable position here, because he put a large distance between himself and the other competitors.

This is just a very complete skater who can make things very difficult for everybody this season, including Javi Fernandez and also Yuzuru Hanyu, who we saw last week.
HL: and over 300 points total, that is something the men didn’t manage yet last week. Not just the best score for the short program if we compare that, but also the FS score for Uno, also in the technical components, so it promises to get very exciting at the Final in a number of weeks.

And yes, Tarasova said in her recent interview that she's in love with Shoma.
Actually, it did not come as a great surprise -- she was always so warm and encouraging when commenting Shoma's skating. Since GPF 2015 (FS), I think.
