I think my cat could choreograph something better for her.... But anyway she is great. The quality of her step sequence really sets her apart from anyone else in Eteri's group.
 
And yet it is only level 3... proof that she needs better choreo / more attention! Is Daniil choregoraphing for her or is Averbukh?

and it doesn't prove anything.
russian local competitions usually more strict about levels. not always but really often.
and in Polina's case... level 4 stsq is pretty difficult for her.
I think she got level4 last season just once (SP JGP2016 Mordovia)
 
Not best program, but honestly, all that matters is that she skated almost clean.
Still a lot of room to improve, but what she does is already pretty impressive, and is probably enough for a GP podium.

And well, i dont really care about her program, she could lay down on the ice between jumps if she wanted to, and i still wouldnt care.
 
Sorry to say this, but her FS music is too "bland" and irrecognizable. They should replace it by something more familiar to create a connection with the audience, especially if they want Polina go to Olympic and make some noises there (For example: Meditaion from Thais, composed by Jules Massenet). Medvedeva's first FS music had the same problem but she has changed it.

It's a bad choice, but still a step up from that chess FS.
I agree though, it's not exactly Olympic material...which is ridiculous considering that if she makes it to Pyeongchang she could fight for a medal. Not that Alina's programs are much better.
 
I want to file an official complaint to the RUS fed about Polina's FS:rolleye: What on earth they were thinking?!:rolleye: She will compete at senior GP events and fight for national team for the olympics! But this choreography is boring and not special enough for this purpose. Polina could be the one challenging Zagitova this season if not Medvedeva. Damn.:palmf:

I didn’t think it was Averbukh, it seems too subtle and unpretentious. Actually I like her free skate program. It’s just music and movement. It highlights her skating perfectly well.
 
Daniil Markovich made the choreography for both her programs.

For FS from this year,Alexey Erokhov, who is also a member on Team Tutberidze, answered on his ask account that Daniil made Polina's FS this year.
I don't understand why she doesn't skate only on "Song for the little sparrow".You can see that she is enjoying this part more than Chopin.
I totally agree with you.She needs more attention from her team.
She is the kind of person who can work well only with known person .
I was very glad to see her more relaxed at Sochi with Sergei Rozanov that she was at Yoshkar-Ola.
I hope that will be a person more with her and Evgenia at NHK,not just Eteri because Eteri will see and care only about Evgenia.Sergei Viktorovich,Daniil Markovich or the newest Sergei Rozanov, it doesn't matter as long as he supports her.

Are you a friend of Eteri? Do you know for sure who she cares about? Did she tell you about it?

I hate when people write about the intentions and thoughts of strangers.....

I'm just a fan of Polina and it hurts to see her so neglected.
I was shocked when I read an interview and Eteri said that Polina must to fight by herself if she want a high place on the podium.I see in a different way the idea of "teamwork".
I don't want to offend anybody and not to convince anybody with what I'm thinking.
What is so strange to be somebody with Polina?
Eteri is always with Evgenia and Daniil with Alina.
 
I am sure that Polina will be given the attention that she needs and that she feels comfortable with. While we don't want her being on her own, we also don't want her being smothered more so than normal and thinking only of the coach's pressure while competing (see: Anna last week) But I don't think Polina will struggle with a lack of or too much attention; she knows what she wants and she knows how she must accomplish that.

You are right.She knows exactly what she wants.She is a fighter.I hope that she will be safe and without injuries this season,to show everybody the magic.

Daniil was also with many skaters in juniors this season... and keep in mind that when some of their skaters are away doing competitions, the rest are in Moscow and the training has to go on so someone should always stay.

I think she is right: unfortunately with the injuries and the fact that Polina WD JW twice, she needs to fight for a place in the podium, she is not in the same position as Alina Zagitova.

But looking at what she did in Sochi, they are doing the right moves for her: she needs to skate consistently clean to build the scores and a reputation.

She WD once, in 2016. She finished 10th last year, as she was not quite on form and had several underrotation/pop/fall issues. However, that might be worse for her: finishing in 10th this past year rather than WDing. But she's doing the right moves to get herself back on top. I'm very optimistic for her this year.
 
I hope that Polina doesn't get injured this season. I love her skating and it's quite different from the rest of the Eteri girls. She has huge jumps and she doesn't overdo the tano and Rippon jumps. Her delayed jumps are more pleasing to my eyes than the overload of Tano and Rippon jumps. :luv17: I wish her well in her career. :yahoo:
