2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

Wow beautiful off-ice axels (and other jumps!) Very impressive... She's got the mindset of a champion, which by itself is impressive, but at 13 years old is phenomenal.

Sasha truly has it all to succeed. I hope she remains healthy for a long, and fruitfull career.

Camera showed her face instead of her legs, so can't be said obviously be I counted 3,5 rotations too

Her costume is so pretty and unique. I feel the juniors in Eteri's group have better costumes than seniors. Hope Polina will get different and better costumes this week. I also kind of hope Alina will have a different sp costume. Nothing is really wrong, just no WOW factor, perhaps more black than white would be better.

Trusova warming up before Russian Cup stage last month. Supercomfy axels!

Nugumanova is lucky - she's looked crap all season.
Nugumanova won't participate in senior Nats, she's just advertising it.
She has no JGP and she's starting in junior Russian Cup, which means only junior nats in Saransk for her (if she advances).

Actually, I like how Evgenia and Alina are dressed this season very much. Especially Evgenia 😍

Since her senior days, I find Evgenia's costumes to be very pretty and striking, particularly both her outfits for this season.

I will confess, I liked her original fs dress which is now her ex dress it seems, but I adore her AK black dress. It's so dramatic, I'm glad she went for black and not red.

Have you noticed how crowdy it's getting at senior nats?
I wonder what they're going to do there with Trusova, Tarakanova, Kostornaia and Panenkova, if they score solid 200 and unquestionably overskate all third place seniors? Potential 7th place national finish in Olympic dossier looks pretty ugly... :confused2:

I actually suspect russian fed will do same as they did last year - they basically had 2 tiers of scores, 1 for whoever could go to Olympics, and another for everybody else.

Pretty sure they will make sure all top 3 will be able to go to Olympic games, maybe even top 4 to have a sub.

What do you guys think when you see Evgenia's lutz and Tuktamysheva's lutz and then look at the GOE's they get for it? Don't you think Evgenia gets too much GOE's for her jumps when comparing to other skaters who have better jumps? Or do I miss something regarding judging? Not a professional, so that's why I'm asking. It looks a bit odd to me.
