The skating itself was gorgeous, and his costumes...def the best dressed Russian man hands down.

I wasn't really referring to the skating itself though. Of course its apparent his skating skills are comparatively much better. But I had to wonder if my screen had stopped matching music since the choreo doesn't seem to go with music at all. He goes fast when music is slow and vice versa. Atleast that's how it came across to me.

The second was meant to be Skate America. He might be still on. He posted recently that he missed his team mates with a French flag underneath. Maybe they'll send him to France and Lake Placid. Or it was his dream...

The same thoughts here He's very enjoyable skater and music can carry him on as he really feels that. It looked like he was having fun today. Deniss was on fire (bar on his jumps).

The jumps were falling apart left and right. He still kept his head up and gave a spellbinding performance.

Well, apart from the jump issues, this was a much better outing than CoR. He sells the first 2 parts much better and WOW he's on fire at the end... The kid is 18 so I'll stop right there!

Some silly mistakes here and there from Deniss with the pop on the 2F and the 2A, but good on him to get that second 3A in there and completed 3Lz+3T and 3Lz+1Lo+3S combos. He's really got some strong edges in the transitions and solid spins. I'm surprised that he isn't that jazzy in the first half because it's very clear he's got the feel for the Buble in the second half.
