Speaking of PCS.....I am wondering why judges equate harder/more transitions to automatically having a better SS, presentation and choreography. I just don't get it. I can see that they are not mutually exclusive to each other but I really feel judges should sort it out.
If a skater can get a higher overall PCS from more/harder transitions alone, why bother with the rest of the aspect of skating?![]()
They are basically spinning however they wish, the reason is not really as important as why they would need to spin it. Do we see Vincent, Boyang get higher PCS than Jason? Hardly...
If you suddenly have an incredible Russian youngster with some of the most elegant and musicality around but not Tech, I bet every technical skater will have their PCS punished and win by PCS will now be justified. And somehow their artistry will be exaggerated. They are already spinning Rippon/Tanos and backloading somehow makes big massive jumps with proper techniques, speed and rotation somehow less impressive.
