^^^^ He does have quite a record in his senior career. I wish his detractors would look at the facts and give this young man credit for what he has accomplished. We as his fans
look forward to the rest of the season and onward to Korea with anticipation of what is to come. We will continue to support the Winter Prince. He is an amazing athlete.
Gotta hand it to his detractors, though, after his skating at last years Skate America, I think, I couldn't stand the negativity anymore and posted in the FanFest for the first time (almost, after a search I've found that I posted for the first time after he landed the Flip in April), and never looked back. So in a way, the Shoma dislike, made me root for him even more. Haha! Down the Rabbit Hole! :) Or Puppy Hole! :thank:

I did not realize that. I do remember a lot of negativity at that time. I always prefer sunshine to cloudiness. :)

Hi guys! I missed GS. Recently our dog gave birth to six puppies and passed from old age (we cried a lot). The puppies have to be fed every 3-4 hours, they have been taking most of my time. I watched men SP while feeding the puppies. When the doctor wanted to weigh them, I was asked to give them temporary names. I almost named one of them Shoma but it would be confusing if I say things like 'Shoma just fell into the trash bin from the cage!' or something. I named one of them Yuzuru though, because it had two brown spots that are like wings, reminded me of his Hanyu kanji, I couldn't help it. Well, they are temporary names. Please look at my puppies! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DO7ZKtFUIAIHToK.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DO5rkSNVAAAiuI9.jpg

Anyway, I'm proud of Shomachka. It broke my heart how tired and disappointed he looked after FS and how he just flew into Fluffy's arms. It's so great that he always has the best, sweetest coach by his side. Tough fight, you did great job, Shomachka!

I don't know if this has been posted before, but we found the person who threw the cabbage plushie.

I believe she will come with many amazing photos. I mean, just look at this one. This can't be truer. https://twitter.com/asverit/status/931930232931614720

(Btw I tried posting and the forum wouldn't let me because my post contained word 'Shom_o' (Shom_ochka?) whyyyyy)

So sorry to hear about your Dog. You have beautiful puppies to care for and to cheer you up. Thanks for sharing.

Promise to never read the youtube comment section, demarinis! :slink:

Don't worry never have. Just from comments from the FF and my friends who tell me that the comments and the folks that post
these comments would make my natural curly hair straight. :eeking:

Awww, my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your dog. Pets are part of the family! :sad4: :console: And what an awesome responsibility to take care of these adorable little ones who are wondering where mom is! Whew! Lots of work! Give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back and a virtual hug!!!

Oh that cabbage. I can't! :laugh2: Looks rather similar to the stuff on this web site. https://cutesycrap.com/products/vegetable-plushies Sho must be getting quite a collection. It would be great to have a themed gift throwing event where everyone throws the same type of gift. Veggies and/or ******* would both be great! At this point I'd say it's hopeless on the lip balm! Hope he at least gives away the 4 tubes that I threw!...I hope he appreciates the work that went into that bear. That is so fun! I want one too!

Glad you're back, and hope you have a chance to catch up on watching some videos.

He looks so burnt out. Ahhh...three weeks...are those enough to rest AND to get back on form? Look at me worrying again, haha! :gaah:

:console: Quickly, think of his mighty (momentarily little less) thighs! That'll cheer you up! ;)

There's no place like home! He can eat all the meat he wants there! The city of Nagoya must ensure a constant source of meat to the Uno house. Give him protein and energy and vincerà!!! :hap93:

omg Shoma was asked in interview his thoughts on probably being the only Japanese to qualify for GPF in Japan and he said his 1st thought was "I wonder if not a lot of customers will show up then" !!! (translation from yawning_shoma on twitter)
he also carries veggie juice in his luggage for competitions but "forgets" to drink them

He needs his vitamins for rebuilding his strength! *arrgh* Don't be stubborn Shoma and drink that juice! I think people will show up. He doesn't have to worry. And wasn't half the venue bought by Toyota anyway? *shrugs*

I think he will go early. Not only was he sweating profusely, I have never seen him panting like that in the K & C. Also wondered if he didn't have the energy to do his cantilever without the hand on the ice...There are a few things like this that lead me to believe that he does have an injury that might be affecting his stamina. It's not taking him out of commission, but it's draining him (my speculation only). And he smiled during the FS which we now know means he's tired! But why oh why is he so cute???!!! :o: :hap10:

Could it be that the flu was already working in Shoma at Skate Canada? I still worry that three weeks won't be enough, the flu can really make you weak for months, especially if you're out there in the cold all day.

I think 3 weeks will be enough time. Shoma has youth and beef!

Very possible. And now someone says that it was wrong that he was injured? My first question to that is who is the source of that info? Hopefully not the same person that said Shomita rented the rink out in Grenoble! I think he's following the unwritten rule that it's better to not talk about your injuries. Also if he talks about it too much, I wonder if it sounds like he's saying the other competitor only won because he's in bad condition himself.

I've been calling him Mr. Stamina for awhile now, but definitely not in these last few outings. I still remember after one Turandot 1 performance Carol Lane saying "Look at him -- he's fresh as a daisy and not even breathing heavily. He looks like he could skate the whole program again." Ummm, not so much lately.

I'm sure his team is watching over him. He's that indestructible 19 though, so you never know what he's going to do! At the end of his FS in France, I almost thought he was going to cry. :sad4: No, please! That makes me cry too. I'm sure he was very disappointed but relieved that he did as well as he did.

So now it's time for us to form a prayer circle for the Prince. :ghug: We have two and a half weeks to conjure up good thoughts while he prepares for GPF. :handw: Go Shoma! We believe in you and your team!

ETA -- Eat lots of beef and drink your vegetable juice (kale and barley green juice -- yeek)!

There are some pictures out there from France where he really looks like he's short of crying.

It's this twitter user, Polymnia, who talked to the manager, and that's how they got the info about there being no injury.

By the way, fans who frequent twitter, tumblr etc., should really think about coming here to the FanFest and discuss. I know most of you guys read the FanFest, and it would be great to have you join us.... I promise we won't bite! :ghug:

That would definitely be WONDERFUL and I'm so glad that info was from his manager. And Polymnia is a very positive Twitter, unlike some of the toxic, mean-spirited ones that are out there. And elsewhere I read his ankle was all taped up this weekend. So right away my first thought again is "source"? I want to watch the 3 jump sequence in Turandot again. On the 3F I thought his ankle looked like it wouldn't hold him, but maybe he was just "rubber legged" at that point. I know they talk about how their legs can be like jelly when they are super tired.

Bottom line for me, I'm going to include Sho in my prayers and think positively. I wish I could do more! And in the meantime, we have his wonderful magazine for his 20th birthday to look forward to! :ghug:
