This is a place to talk about Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze, her skaters, her group, and anything else that might come up! While Eteri isn't the most experienced coach, in the past few years she has coached several of her skaters to great success, primarily on the junior level, but also on the senior level. I also like how she seems very supportive of her skaters- and of course the jacket she always wears to competitions

Random question - can someone explain why Eteri is sometimes referred to as "Eteri Bonner" and other times "Eteri Georgievna"? I understand patronymics, but I don't get where the "Bonner" comes from.

Julia Lipnitskaia has applied to leave Etri's team, and wants to go to Urmanov. http://fsrussia.ru/news/1440-yuliya...tovku-pod-rukovodstvom-alekseya-urmanova.html

While it doesn't appear her petition has been officially accepted by the federation yet, it does seem like this is basically a done deal.

Alina moved to Eteri group only the current season. Her PB before this moving was 139.25
Look how her results grew after it: 154.09, 159.16, 166.73 and now 178.06! Would like to see the video
