Re Nathan's sp costume -- I don't care for it either (I thought the funniest comment is that it looks like a tracksuit, lol), but it's interesting, a friend who is very artistically inclined and has an eye for style told me it caught her eye and she likes it! Go figure. She isn't a figure skating fan though and only watches occasionally because of me.

Well, I am artistically inclined and I think that costume is horrible

What a pity, because I love his programs this year.

If that's his costume for the FS someone needs to be fired. I rarely have such strong opinions on style and packaging but this is just awful.
And his curls were so cool. Now he has generic hair.

Vera Wang needs to be fired ASAP. If the look reminds anyone of Lysacek, it's because Wang designed his costumes too, at least for Olympic year.

They're similar. Evan's best look was black shirt and pants with a short red scarf around the wrist for Carmen, very subtle.

Nathan's best for Nemesis was the 3/4 sleeve black shirt, which showed off his arms so beautifully and emphasized the casual, cool look that goes with his persona, and the music too.

I think Nathan looks like an athlete.

I've never been a fan of frilly glittery costumes, and while I liked the "shirt and pants" look he used all season, I'm fine with these he's debuted at USNats.

I don't like frills either. But this is a definite downgrade from his earlier costumes. This is an artistic venture, too, after all.

it look like it fits and he has to wear it while he skates, and makes him comfortable.

I don't recall being bother by Lysacek's Olympic FS costume. Maybe Nathan is early adopting some new trend of total aerodynamic body suit/looks be damned ala skiing or swimming.
Who designed his costumes last season?Both SP and FS were gorgeous. Probably my favorite of the men's.

If it wasn't for the shiny zipper at the back, Nathan's FS costume could've looked something like what Jeremy Abbott wore for his 2012 LP. Modern and no frills, letting the skating do the talking and I wouldv'e been fine with that too.

It isn't that bad, but I don't see what's different from the short costume. Nathan doesn't seem to care about costume at all.
