To quote Katniss, "I volunteer" to be a scorer!
Count me in for scoring

Sorry rosacotton, but I'm afraid that I haven't seen any of the Hunger Games films. But I have seen a few Ladies competitions at Russian Nationals...

So are all of the events scored seperately or together like the gp?
Calm down, please. No need to call out other people's characters
The thing is, at the GPF, you have to be able to skate cleanly in the FS in order to not be in the bottom half. Can Kaetlyn do that? We'll see in the free skate, but there seems to be a low likelihood of that statistically. Numbers don't lie
Just a wee reminder to everybody that the final round of the Nationals Game, the Canadian Championships, is this week. And this will be followed next week by the first round of the ISU Game, the European Championships.
The thing is, we were a bit short on scorers for the Nationals Game this season, with the result being that some of us have had to double-up and score multiple categories in the same week.
So, I would like to ask if there is anybody out there that would like to volunteer to join the team for the ISU Game.
If you are only available to do scoring for particular championships, that is totally fine. We are very flexible and can accomodate that. We know everybody has real lives.
So, if you would like to get involved, let it be known here in this thread, or else contact me directly by PM.
Thank you

I enjoyed the GP game and am looking forward to the ISU game. I would be happy to be a scorer if you still need help. (just warning you I am not exactly a computer whiz).
Lol and I thought I could copy and paste!
The struggle is real when it comes to me...
Neither am I.
Although it may sound scary, scoring is really simple, thanks to Samkrut's algorithm. All the scorers have to do is just copy the predictions (and results) from the thread and paste them into an Excel spreadsheet, and then replace the skaters names with codes. After that, the algorithm in the spreadsheet does the complicated stuff. And then all you have to do is paste the scores it produces into the scoresheet.
It's basically just a whole pile of copying and pasting.
So, if you are interested, I would be more than happy to welcome you on board.

Thank you for reminding me that I need to score the US men. It WILL happen, just not sure when.
I don't think I'll be available for the majors. Sorry for all the confusion I've caused (there might be more when I do the men!) :
well, laugh as much as you like, but I tend to do my scorings 'manually' - it really 'exercises' memory and thinking for me, combining names/nicks with scores, variations etc. It's even easy for me to spot some kind of tendency, who got podium right, how many people did it etc. And it really helps me to memorize more of your GS names . But agree, there's an algorithm to get things pretty straightforward and unified, only this darn 'copy/paste' task

Just to clarify, I was the scorer for the U.S. Men's game. (Spirals was a little confused but now knows she's scoring Ladies so all is good!) Scores are in the spreadsheet, and results are in the thread!
NoNameFace, I also score manually and totally agree with you that it makes it easy to spot trends - and learn some screen names a little better LOL!
CaroLiza_fan, I emailed you, but just to confirm I'll score whatever you need for the ISU predictions game!
