2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

Amazing battle! Can't wait to see what happens at the OG when Evgenia is back to her 100% - you could tell she was a bit fatigued today.

Also. I've never believed the Eteri conspiracies, but when Zhenya got second she straight up looked mad at the score. I get it that she likes Evgenia more, but now it seems veeery blatant.

I was prepared to dislike Konstantinova, but then I saw her do a solid FP and I didn't see any obvious 'issues'. Let's see how she does at RJN.
No issues apart from poor posture, zero musicality and never skating clean, yet still being propped up time after time when any other skater in her position would have been reduced to obscurity a long time ago.

You didn't even see Lipnitskaya propped up to this extent and she actually was an olympic champion. Compare Konstantinova to Sakhanovich as another example.

She just gets everything handed to her on a silver platter and still fails to deliver every single time.

And thinking about it, Sima had been consistent for two seasons, and actually MEDALLED in Junior Worlds, twice.

TAT: I've attended European figure skating championships 53 times. And this one is the best!

Looked bad to me when she was in K n C with Medvedeveda but not Zagitova.

Alina won, yeeees!! I'm just very much happy for her.:luv17:
Zhenia, as usual, nerves of steel... she has my respect.
I'm sure she'll come stronger to Olympics.

It makes sense that she couldn't be in KnC with Alina since Evgenia was skating next, that's okay. But she looked genuinely displeased that Alina beat Zhenya. Like, evidently so.

Well, yes, i also noticed Eteri's reaction at Zhenya's scores... she wasn't happy at all.
I just hope she's professional enough not to impact the training of these 2 wonderful ladies with her obvious preference.

But I thought we will see Sofia Akatieva at Gala. 🤔

oh.... is that? that makes more sense actually. so false hope it was :( anyway I'll see her in jr nats <3
I'm both excited and worried, the gala in nats made me realise that she COULD fall (though I'm surprised by how fast she gets up from it) I have been comforting myself that she is not used to jumping 3Lz3T in her SP and no practice means no perfect, but I'm still anxious for her.

I get it but then she should have not been there with either like she did in the short.
