I think the opposite...I have a horrible feeling that the OGM is now out of Zhenya's control and she will have to hope that Alina makes mistakes.
I think the opposite...
Evgenia had a great competition, considering it's her first one since her injury. She made a mistake on her axel, lost a little of her usual polish, and she had an issue with travelling on spins (because she made her spins more difficult). I doubt any of those will still be issues by the Olympics... and IMO it will be Alina who will be praying for mistakes from Evgenia...
Also, Olympics is not like any other competition. Mental strength is crucial, and I think Evgenia will be the stronger one in that respect - she has spent years in senior competition, she is more used to the media attention, she is now the "chaser", and I think she might be inherently tougher from the start...
Her fate is in her own hands.
The more I think about it, the less it seems to me a coincidence.

I felt that I couldn't sleep until I watch Zhenya's gala another 5 times, which is coincidentally required to make a translation.

Now it's 3:40 on my clock, and my soul and body can finally have some rest. Good night everyone.

Protest against what?
I believe it used to be called discrimination.
In the IOC and some other influential circles. Even those Russians who are far from politics feel this in the air.
I didn't say it was a deliberate reference, though.
It's actually my favorite program of hers - she shows such sincere emotion, so raw and powerful. Her jumps are almost like she's telling everyone: "look guys, I was just a bit nervous these past few days, it won't happen again, give me all the +3's I deserve" :gclap:
