2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 2

All of the pairs requirements make it really hard to watch when it's not going right. Especially in the free

Getting my bed ready for bed while I watch the pairs FP. Man, I'm in for a great Olympics if it's going to be like this in terms of streaming.

At the very least, make the pairs spin similar to the spin in ice dance. The current requirements make the pairs spins look slow, laborious, and boring.

And I say this as a strong pairs fan.

They desperately need Chinese guidance on those twists and throws, but that's not gonna happen obviously. Hope they can work on that.

Now that I think about it, Evgenia Medvedeva's score was higher than Kolyada's. The man's SP was truly terrible, wasn't it... :slink:

They don't go by your rules at the Olympics or any ISU event.

They go by Canada rules now or some kind of common agreement on who would get gold in team event. Japan, despite the popularity of the sport, always sucks in politics of this sport, allowing its skaters to be diminished in international judging. If Osmond's case was done by Japanese or Korean skater, by no means this combo would be validated.

Valentina and Ondrej way solid on those side-by-side jumps (both the solo jump and the combo!)
