2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

I couldn't watch live and so only got to see Zhenya's skate thanks to russianfan, maybe I'll have to stay up later tonight, lol
and get yelled at by my family to stop being so obsessed with skating!

She did what she needed to do. And Evgenia skated with tapes, still recovering, probably. I hope she will be healthy enough to show her best at individual competition.

I'm 100% sure it's not because she was injured, she is already recovered, so it's nonsense to look for excuses in this. It's even disrespect for her. Was she injured during Worlds 2017, where she skated not so good, and yet broke worlds FP record? I doubt. You also can see one of her heavy jumps in that new documentary, from previous season. Where Eteri tells her, that she can do a jump much better, and she really can.

I don't know how it happens - one skate you jumping so flawless and supreme, but another skate your jumps aren't that good.

Sotskova's case two years ago was about that as well. You could see how gorgeous was her free program at Russian Nationals 2016, and how horrible she skated at Junior Nationals, Youth Olympic Games and at Junior Worlds. She wasn't able to catch that something, I don't know what it is, to be so gorgeous there as she was at Russian Nationals.

So it's not injuries or psyhological problems, it's just about you're on, or you're a bit off. But in Evgenia's case it's not so important, as you've seen, because she's able to break world record, skating not so good and flawless as she can do. But I hope she'll be on, during individual event. Will see!

So, today's two main questions:

1) Will Alina receive the same PCS for the clean skate as at Euros? [emoji848]
2) Will judges continue their fair way to prevent boost skaters get insane undeserved scores? [emoji848] (one of them already got 30 PCS in the short program, but how much PCS will get another one for the free skate? because that skater is able to reach 77+ points for the TE)

I need to think about it.

🤔🤔🤔

By recovery I mean not only healing her foot, but also getting "back on track". As for me, she needs more time/tranings. Hope 2 weeks will be enough.

1) Only if Caro skates like she did at Euros.
2) Depends on the flag of the country that skater represents

i'm not really concerned about bradie or kaori PCS growing. they are not so much worse than osmond, kostner or our top two girls, so they deserved these PCS in a way.
but polina tsurskaya with a PCS lower than bradie, it looks like the biggest injustice in the world to me. judges why don't you give a nice PCS boost to this amazing girl as well

Have you noticed how sharp and precise was that StSq?
I don't even know how it is possible anymore, but this girl is getting better and better with every start. :drama:

Go Alina!

I'm very surprised with these fair and correct PCS for each skater! Well-deserved! Despite insane scores this season, the GAP between skaters there is absolutely right. Thank you judges. Nice work!

Will they keep this attitude for the individuals event? [emoji848]
