And then. My ears are tired and my stomach is jouncy from hearing TAT and her co-commentator babble ALL THROUGH the skates. Until Dmitri Aliev, to whom they allowed the courtesy of letting people actually watch the program while connecting the music to it.

I can't believe I used to complain about having to listen to Tara babble. Between these two, it's quadruple the Tara Babble.

is it really progress or are the judges just getting crazy stupid with the scores?

or are there extra elements, new higher element base values, or something else that makes the scores higher? Because it seems like the splatting is even worse if possible so the scores shouldn't be going up

The final scores are going to be ridiculous. Aliev is high enough to stay in medal contention, maybe, or at least to place quite high, but it’s looking like it’s going to be 100+ and “an indistinguishable mass of Everyone Else.”

I expect at least 2 skaters from the top group to fall/bomb. Dima will safely qualify to the top 6 (quite possibly as the highest ranking Russian).
He's in medal contention all right.

They did it! NBC has managed to make me cringe whenever I hear them mentioning Nathan Chen or 5 quads! He's barely been in the Olympics, and I'm already over the overhyping of Nathan Chen! Thanks NBC!!
