2018 Olympic Figure Skating Mens FS

Oh my gosh this Grinch skating whatever commercial is obnoxious

For your drinking game pleasure:
Sip every time they mention the Pooh-bears. (NBC seems to have latched onto that one.)
Sip every time they show back-stage warm ups.
Sip every time Andrea asks an awkward question of an emotional skater.
[EMTs on standby version only:] sip every time Tara or Johnny makes a forced reference to their own careers, chug when Terry prompts it.[/
And may I propose a drinking game for the rest of the festivities:
Whatever your beverage tonight/ this morning, have a small sip whenever:
- you want to tell your announcer "be quiet"
- your announcer says "He wants to do better"
- your announcer says "Olympic ice"
- the camera focuses on the top of their heads during spins
- you have to blink repeatedly and refocus on the skater when they go to an overhead shot and the glare of the arena light bar is reflected on the ice
-when the camera zooms in on the.. ahem, 'lower torso' area ...during a spin/ spiral/ lift.
- when the camera focuses on the skaters face while their body is doing something much more interesting.
Any others?

Between your game and mine we'll have thousands of toilets flushing around the world long before we get to the final flight!

Oh god, please no overload of flushing toilets... with my luck, the world’s backlog of dirty toilet water will end up in my house again...

Matteo Rizzo

Steady 3F without a hitch. Good running edge out of the 3A+2T. Eeked out the landing on the 3Lz+3T but should still get positive GOE. Fine sit spin right into a neat choreo sequence. Good second 3A, maybe <. Secure 3Lz+1Lo+3S, a clean 3Lo with a stretched landing, and a calm 2A. Nice running movements (half sit-spins) into the camel spin. Fine 2A right into the footwork, with nice changes of edges. And a fairly well-centered combo spin.

A neat and clean program for Matteo Rizzo. He has good rhythm in his knees and flow across the ice. He hasn't yet learned how to project, express, and be more dynamic in his energy level to really bring in the audience, but he has solid basics and triples. Unfettered and simple.

I hope Nathan gets mad and decides he is going to just have fun in his last Olympic skate of 2018.

Forza Italia un’altra volte!

Matteo has a bright future too :agree:

Hmm... I guess Deniss' SP saved him over Rizzo. Love them both!

Medvedeva slay count: 2

Rizzo has been the cleanest skater this Olympics. Clean in Team SP and FS, clean again in individual SP and FS.

Still such an empty rink ... I really hope the Yuzuru fans aren't only planning to show up closer to his skate. The event needs them and their enthusiasm.

Rizzo could develop into someone really fun in the next few years. He's promising and has personality!

Nooooo!
Two boys just knocked my door to ask if they can play with my son here.
That means I have to give up TV screen!!:confused2:

Shall we peg Matteo for the next Javier-style slow climb up from the bottom to the very top of the world standings? He proved he's a great competitor here.

Great, thanks, now I have wheelchair Jimmy stuck in in my head.

Uh, I mean Drake. Drake is stuck in my head. Started from the bottom now we’re here....

Not feeling it, Javier had more personality from the start. Matteo is too reserved.
