2018 Olympic Figure Skating Mens FS

*starts pacing anxiously*

Come on Brendan...come on Brendan...

Now this is just totally unnecessary, but I wish Nathan replaced one of the 4F's with a 4Lo.:o:

I don't really give a flying eff about all the negativities here. It's a personal victory for Nathan. No one has to be a well rounded perfect skater.

Today was about Nathan going home with something to feel good about. It wasn't the artistic skate he had planned, but a personal victory over the nerves.

Wow Johnny was rude to Cha after his skate - I think his presentation has matured leaps and bounds

Cha Junhwan

Solid 3Lz+3T to start. Fall on the 4S, but looks like he could land it in the future. Good 3A+2T into a flying camel spin with a Yuna leg spin. Nice illusion into the sit spin. Good flow out in the second 3A. Strong flow in the 3F+1Lo+3S and a good 2A. Clean 3F. Good series of steps in the step sequence. And a solid 3Lo into a fast spin with lots of positions and a beautiful layback.

Cha has been listening very well to Orser's training. His artistry has improved immensely over the course of this season with moments where he let the music come to him and paying attention to the phrasing and lyrics to his movements. He has strong basics and good landings. Cha has risen up to the challenge as the hometown man. Fantastic!

As much as I like Nathan and was thrilled with his glorious tech skate I have to say I am saddened that beautiful skaters like Misha Ge cannot compete. It is sad because with good tech you get great pcs. And the value of those quads even with a fall are worth too much.

Is it just me or does Cha remind you a little of Tatsuki Machida? Or maybe this is just me missing Machida >_<

It's not just the look, Cha actually has this way of accentuating his posing or change of direction here and there that does remind me of Machida.

hmmmm Nathan 87 PCS........CHA 81............................... scores should be switched
