Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

I think this kind of comments surge every few years, because Yuzuru/Plushenko´s friendship. I remember after Sochi a similar interview (write) surge... I also remember we use to joke that practice would be full of jumps and Plushenko asking for 4A out the blue...

What? hmm, I think Yuzuru wouldn't leave TCC even if Javier is no longer there.

Comments are saying it's not true. And I highly doubt he will leave Toronto now of all times :)

so nice to hear that! it git me worried while watching it but i saw the description it said that it was last year and i was like "oh...fake!!!" But I had to confirm if it was

it this true??? I don't think that Yuzuru will leave TCC, at least not now

I'm curious what Plushenko is saying here though, is he really talking about making programs with Yuzuru? (is it his dream ?)

Yuzuru will come back to Japan on Feb.26 and attend the press conference with other medalists. And he is going to the doctors and do tons of job I guess. In 2014, he went back to Canada to prepare for the Worlds after finishing his job, but we'll see what he plans this time. (I also think training base is going to be TCC)

He has to meet the Japanese Emperor again in spring for sure

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPoRPGP94Ek&feature=youtu.be The last bit of last night's Interview. About the possible future of the sport. And as always, Yuzu mentions Boyang. "Boyang could land a quint!":luv17:
He obviously thinks very highly of Boyang's technique.

Boyang can be Yuzuru's serious competition in landing that quad axel. :)

I remember there was a query in this forum, if not this FF thread, shortly after Yuzuru won at 2014 OG and Worlds as to who among the younger skaters can rise to challenge him in 2018. I recall picking Jason, Josh, Maxim, and Boyang. As things turned out, only Boyang made it to Pyeongchang and finished 4th. He'll do better in Beijing I am sure.

I want to do another fanart of Yuzu to celebrate his Olympic win. But I can't decide on a pose, or a medium, or anything. I'm overwhelmed by too much beautiful.

I’m still recuperating from jet lag and sickness but I thought I’d share a small memory before I forget it. I really need to write this all down but energy and time hasnt been on my side.

I believe this was during morning practice before the free skate (will need to check my video), we were seated in the corner near the spot where he does the 3F and after he landed it we were able to see his face and he had a bit of a cheeky smile. I think maybe he was remembering that 3F from Sochi and thinking to himself that no way was he going to miss it this time!

Thank you for the content, looks like he is in good spirits.

Can someone please please translate, looks like it is an interview

Thank you in advance

Brian's interview with Korean media:

quick translations

- it was a really dark period after his injury. really sad to see him on crutches; I know how much he wanted to practice. Instead of on ice, he would do image-training and floor- training. He was very focused on that.

-turning point came about 3 weeks before Olympics. practices began, and plans were made strategically. with each step he was gaining confidence.

-he has super power from another planet! very happy for the result

(regarding criticism he reused both programs)

-this was a wise decision, they are both special programs, never get tired to watching them

(did he decide by himself?)

-100% his decision. so many people love this program, even within the judges. when he broke the world record, a judge said it is the highlight of my life to be there judging when he gave a magical performance
