Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Thank you for sharing :thank:
it’s a very detailed documentary with timelines and his plan towards the Olympic. It hurts to listen to him taking about the painkiller decision. I am so glad that it work out according to his plan, at the end, Plushenko’s estimation was spot on, 3 or 4 quads is good enough to get him the gold. (I love how he talks about the last 3Lz, it’s against the physics.)

Pleeeease, could you translate ? Thank you !!!

I remember there was a Waseda university congratulation message for Yuzuru, can´t seen to find it, can someone provide a link please.

Tbh, I thought that was a given, ever since his first comments at the Olympics. I don't think it's a question of a long time, I think it's more a question of not making it an even longer time if he now continues training and competes, thus making it worse.

Better off ice for a few months, than a year.

I am not an athlete and have not been injured badly in my life, so Yuzuru's comments about the painkiller reminded me again how strongly it affects the human body. He really didn't want to use it because it would put off his recovery and possibly damage tendon more. I'm glad he could enjoy the gala practices etc. with other skaters since he said that was what he wanted before he returned to the dark time again. While receiving the treatment and doing rehab, maybe keeping himself busy with attending many events in spring could ease his mind a little, not too focusing mentally on rehab or treatment. But it is Yuzuru, he'll be thinking about only figure skating all the time, haha.

He has three official events today. I hope he can go back to Sendai soon, but there will be many people waiting for him everywhere , too

Try going through their twitter account? I think they posted something there.
