Junhwan Cha

After watching his gala I think Jun should go for 80s pop or rock music next season. He has the hairstyle for it.

I would love for him to do what Yuzu did in the past and go for a soft, lyrical short and a more powerful, driving piece for the long. It would showcase his versatility and incredible skating skills. I just feel like he can pull off any music.

Ok, what happened to Junhwan? I thought he will be at Junior Worlds :(

His injury this season was quite serious and he is still not 100% . Resting up and resuming training next month. Good decision as he'll be doing more difficult layouts next season. (And hopefully he stopped growing, lol)

I watched his Oly FS.

He isn't a finished skater yet... Not by a long shot. But that raw talent is stunning to watch.

Here's a translation of Brian's interview with Huffpost:

He speaks a bit about Jun's strengths as a skater, their future plans, and past struggles with growth spurts.

Thank you for sharing~~
I know Brian must have big hope for Jun, but it’s good to know what he actually thinks. :luv17:

“i hope his growth spurt ends so he can finally adapt to his body.” Same Brian, same here. If Jun keep growing, he might really have to consider switching to full time modelling. :slink:

You're welcome! Hopefully his body stops growing next season, and we get to see him compete at 100%. Watching Jun develop in the upcoming seasons is going to be so exciting because a skater with immense raw talent under the tutelage of Brian Orser is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Once the pieces all fall into place, the result is going to be nothing short of stunning :luv17:.

I find it really fun to watch him just get better and better! I was volunteering as a Korean interpreter during the Youth Olympics in Lillehammer and worked with him a lot through the whole week. It was so weird hanging around this young kid who was playing tricks and just having a good time suddenly come another person on the ice, so focused and elegant. I hope we can meet up again sometime and catch up :) I am really looking forward to see what level Brian Orser can bring him to. :)

Oh wow that's awesome! It's always fun to follow a skater from the very beginning and see how they develop throughout the course of their career.
