I just watched her Olympic programs again yesterday. Wow! She really was wonderful. She seemed to be skating with more speed and power too. Her happy reaction at the end of the long program was so cute! Looking forward to seeing her at Worlds.

So I've finally gotten around to uploading my videos from the Olympics and for the team event I was seated where I could see everyone go backstage. Team Japan came by following Shoma out and I got a smile and a wave from him, but I actually managed to get Satoko on video:

it's a nice way to say goodbye to two very good programs and conclude this season.

If Shin Amano is here, it's going to hurt the Satoko's biggest enemy, but I'm pretty optimistic for her.

I don't understand GS' ambivalence towards this regal skater, she is incredible and I LOVE this short. So happy to see her do so well in the short!

As an aside, BESP has Simon and Catherine commentating and while I'm fine with both of them, I couldn't stand Catherine's comments about Satoko's personality, in "she doesn't have the personality of Kaetlyn"... ummm no kidding Sherlock, of course, she's herself and that's more than enough. It's one thing to say you prefer this or that personality, but to say someone "lacks personality" etc. is .... not ok by me lol.

Anyway, Satoko killed it, and I loved every second of it.

It annoyed me that Olympic channel commentator (Ryan Bradley??) saying that Satoko did not have much of a chance of holding her 3rd place because she does not have larger jumps. I think that she has great chance for medal if she skates clean in LP.

Playing well for the bronze medal is good to see two Japanese on the podium, these programs will miss even Mrs. Butterfly.
