And it's impossible to deny that Stasya is devilishly cute. Disclaimer - I think, she is not underage.
I dunno she is not my type =)
She just looks so clumsy on ice though - bad posture, weight movements and all.
Me doesnt get it.

Ok aside from the jumps and all, can someone tell me how Eteri's girls manage the massive pressure on them to skate clean everytime? I don't recall many pops or falls from them except for Evgenia earlier this season and Trusova on her quads, but they always deliver when it counts. Do they do some kind of psychological training or do they drill the programs to perfection?
2. It's not like 60 points is a disaster for a total debutant.

Well so, the thing is... It might be okay for the skater of a country like Belgium or something. But Russia? How many skaters are there who are absolute locks to score 60+? Probably half a dozen.if you an average skater... mediocre?
maybe...![]()

Probably most of them out of shape (Radionova) or injuried (Tsurskaya).Well so, the thing is... It might be okay for the skater of a country like Belgium or something. But Russia? How many skaters are there who are absolute locks to score 60+? Probably half a dozen.
Well, while that might be the case, both of those skaters have a PCS cushion that Konstantinova doesn't have.Probably most of them out of shape (Radionova) or injuried (Tsurskaya).
They're going to have to wait 2 years for Sasha to be in the world and one year for Alena.

Are Olympic and World Champions mediocre skaters?![]()
why? they're going to move to senior in the same season.
2019/2020.
Sasha 23 June 2004. her BD before 1st July.
Alena 24 August 2003
Because of Konstantinova, Russia lost silver/bronze of Junior Worlds 2017, and bronze of Junior Worlds 2018. That's really bad. What about seniors, that's okay. Still, with all that juniors' depth, there are no competitive and consistent skaters in seniors, except Medvedeva and Zagitova. Tsurskaya - just one good showing at NHK, next bad skating at Skate USA and at stages of Cup of Russia. Her 3T in 2A+3T combo look URed, skating skills are weak and laboured. Also her 3Lz+3T became worse. Only single jumps of hers are worth to watch, if she's not doubling them, of course. Radionova - she barely skates, Tuktamysheva - same. Who's else?
Really, Konstantinova was the only one available option here, for seniors. Stealing two Gubanova's Worlds Junior medals - that's what's bad.
I want to feel sorry for this girl but will she cost Russia a third slot for next year? How did Maria do?
Maria had a bad SP with multiple UR and was saved by a lenient tech panel.
Masha is currently in 5th with 71 points, but she is close to Gabby and Bradie. Mariah and Stanislava look to be non-factors, and Mirai can pull up only if she lands her 3A I think. Masha should finish no worse than 7th-8th. However, Alina is going to move up, I think. It's absurd to think that Carolina's ahead of her now, but it sure won't last (provided Carolina skates the way she normally does and Alina skates her free the way she normally does and there's not too much home scoring. perhaps I expect too much)

Fans talking about age in Figure Skating...Just imagine a 31 year old Carolina beating a 15 year old Alina...This shows that skaters age like fine wine..
