2018 Worlds Mens Free Skate

Vincent received a total of SEVEN URs in his free skate. Holy cow.

You know you definitely have UR problems when my blind eyes can see them. :dev2: He's so ambitious that I have no doubt this will spur to work hard in the offseason to improve

I'll never say 'it's looking good' before final group completes:drama:

And I realize the ISU president is watching today.

Six falls. Never seen that before, not even that time when Hanyu split his head open in warmups and still went out to skate.

I believe it was five falls since he was given -9 in deductions. -1, -1, -2, -2, -3.

Congratulations Max on pulling a Nick Foles for the US men!!!! I hope the USFS buys you a ton of gift baskets! You deserve them. :thank:

And congrats to the medalists. Wow. Didn't expect this to top Sochi! I hope ALL the men can now take a vacation and rest and heal.:ghug:

Props to Nathan for going for that ridiculous layout despite not needing... most of those quads to win. He has guts. It could've went miserably and he could've ended up in the same situation as the rest if the final group but he went for it anyway.

No question who the winner should've been. Congratulations Nathan Chen!

I'm not even going to talk about the scoring inconsistencies. I hope these men get the rest they need and deserve.

I think that's just rumors on some chinese board.

I really hope the rumours are not true. They have improved so much the past two seasons, the best chinese ice dance couple of this entire quad, and look like they love skating with each other (although Chinese Fed have done some forced breakups before so I'm worried).

Dima, Deniss, Kazuki, & Matteo give me hope for the future. I could probably get behind Nathan if he would improve artistically but why should he, when he gets scores like that?

If Chen went just a bit cleaner today and got +1 GOE on his two quads with bobbles, he would've narrowly beaten Hanyu's WR FS score. That's staggering (and I'll put out the prediction that next season, he will have the WR FS).

YIKES I’m glad I didn’t watch this live. The ladies’ event was too much for me yesterday.

Misha K got a bronze! But as with Satton yesterday, I wish it was with a more deserving performance :(

And poor Boyang....I can’t wait for his redemption next season, and the next, and the next, culminating in his 2022 OGM!

Well, the surname Silver king didn't come from the fact he was second at Worlds last year, but because he was second all the time this year.

True someone was saying he progress from bronze to silver, so I thought he was getting silver all along, it's not a new thing.

He won Lombardia, Skate Canada and Japanese Nationals, though. I'm not worried, he had some tough times this season, but it'll be better next season.

This men's event will go down in historybooks. And not in a good way :palmf:
First two groups - splat. Third group - whoa, maybe this competition is saved! Fourth group - even more splat. Now it was just a competition of who fell the least. Last man standing.

I thought it couldn't be worse than Sochi, but in retrospect (and in comparison with Milan) it wasn't even half that bad.
