Where do you get that? Normally, only Nathan Chen and Shoam Uno should have more points in the ranking than him.

That's the Season's Ranking and it's not worth anything. World Standings is what's important for anything, including SP orders and GP assignments. When the new season begins, Yuzuru's World Standing will be 3rd (Nathan and Shoma will be 1st and 2nd respectively).
Edit: Yuzu is also 3rd in the Season's Best list (total scores).

The system basically rewards you for doing (and placing) in the GP season as much as placing at a Championship event, reason why Yuzuru is finally being surpassed in World Standing after 4 years. I think it was done that way to give more importance to the GP events, as well as Senior Bs.
Some World Champions who don't do Senior B competitions/Challengers tend to place lower in World Ranking than some who do. It's an interesting system and its only real importance is for determining in which groups you skate the SP on at Championships or the order of your SP in a GP event, as well as for picking up leftover spots for the GP season from the Top 24 WS.
I don't really know how other sports calculate World Rankings anyway, to see if this particular system is bad or reasonable.

Just as I want Yuzu to be on top all the time, I guess the ISU included rules that will encourage skaters to be present competitions labeled as important.
I wish there was like a reviewing body of skaters and they be ranked based on skills not on number of wins and attendance.
But since there isn't none, IMO Yuzu's audience power, the love he gets from commentators (Tara and Johnny being total stans), how the other skaters chase his level, the media going crazy whenever he is present, how proud his coaching team is and the respect rivals give him. It's more than what the official world standing says. And honestly how can you be injuried and be still in the top 3? He will climb up once he's healed.
He wants to skate more and he needs to sacrfice these few things for now to make it better in the future.
Who knows? Quad Axel? Quintiple toe? Beijing 2022? His own ice rink? (lol) just as much as we are dreaming, I bet he is too. And whatever those dreams are I wish him the best. And he deserves to get what he can because he earned it.
I'm excited to see him on the Sendai Parade.

I want to see Yuzu wearing all 8 of his senior championship gold (4 GPF, 2 WC, and 2OGM) a’la Michael Phelps in Beijing.
If not that, I’d settle for both Olympic Gold medals during the parade. I wonder if he keeps the Sochi medal in a sock too.
Do we really want that France coaster medal to see the light of day again? :disapp::disapp::disapp: I feel like it should be actively omitted in silent protest. :shame::shame::shame:
Oh right, I completely forgot about that atrocity. Maybe that one can stay behind all the real medals.
