Really enjoyed watching her skate this weekend. I hope we see more of her. As another commenter said in the event thread, it's nice to see a Russian girl just skating with pure delight and not crushed under the intense pressure.
 
All in all she had a good start in the Grand Prix series. Much better than Sima's last year.
She had a stupid mistake at the end, but didnt affect the program. Probably nervousness
skating the 1st time before a huge crowd, at home.

She's told her coaches in k&c that she wanted to take a nice, deep edge and the edge turned out to deep :) so she fell down.
 
I know right?! I was just thinking about that! Lera deserves a second place... Too bad it's not like the JGP where Russia can actually switch them around.
 
Any news about her? It seems she has not competed this season. Is she still skating? Or maybe injured?
 
Lera Mikhailova celebrates her Birthday today.

When last competitive, she was based at Sambo 90, working on 3A and 4S. She is now involved in coaching.
