I love all of Yuzuru’s short programs, but PW is special. It’s baffling that some thought it was too mature for him at the time. I disagree of course. It was perfect for a 18-19 year old. For me it represented the flirtiness and reckless abandonment of youth. I thought it was amazing how that program progressed too over the 2013-2014 season. It got better and better with each competition and by the Olympics it was perfect.

Ballade 1 (and likely Seimei too) is Yuzuru’s signature program, I think. Kind of like Torvil and Dean’s Bolero. Years after he retires I think that program will always be remembered for the masterpiece it is and how brilliantly he skated it.

Oh PW is forever near and dear to me. It was my Yuzu gateway program and it was perfect for him at the time. This tweet pretty much sums up for me how I felt when I first saw him do it, except I would add the quad toe to that too https://twitter.com/yuzuru_fairy/status/968251533581168640 .:laugh: Really, those jumps for me were love at first site :luv17:. And then I noticed he had great performance skills, charisma in spades, great choreo, great footwork, and the rest is history. I was an instant fan before he had any major gold medals to his name and now he's a legend. I feel really lucky to be his fan and have watched his journey this quad. Though the lows feel really low, damn are the highs oh so high. I don't regret this roller coaster at all :yay:.

This vid, Yuzuru was arriving to Canada, he was so nervous, it makes me want to travel in time and tell him, you have no idea what is going to happen with this fun and sexy program of yours, how you will improve yourself and the program itself, it’ll break the 100 points barrier, will win an OGM, will get better score than Plushenko’s at the team event, and everyone will know how to spell your name kiddo!

Yuzuru is so focused he ain't kidding around in getting things done in Canada.
I just wish that Javi is no longer there he finds another person who he can connect with.
Javi did say they are not like real BFF's who go out and have fun in free days. But they are dependable training partners that lessen each other's stress in training.
Yuzu recover well and when yur body is ready go for your Quad axel and land it in a competition.

So maybe he is like a surprise guest? I was thinking he would not come since I had heard from somewhere that Javier said in his fan meeting he could not go to Yuzuru's show for some reasons. But I really hope he will show up! And to someone who has been wondering about Shizuka's participation, it seems she has been taking off time from work after the Olympics and she is not listed in any show this summer, so I guess she has some reasons, too.

Meanwhile, Minoru Sano looks like he is going to perform in the show! I'm very looking forward to it :biggrin:

Shizuka became the vice president of JSF in 2014 actually and was still doing her shows and other stuff for past four years. I have one guess in my mind (a word starts with "p") but it is about her private life and there is no confirmation yet :)

Yeah, that was my second guess. Wonder if Javier is really there? Could it be they made the T-shirt before confirmation?
