Evgenia Medvedeva

It has been confirmed by twitter that Zhenya will be in Faoi Makuhari on 25th May and also Yuzuru Hanyu will be there (he has P&G talk show in the same city and same date so confirmed he is in Faoi Makuhari). So people speculating they aren't friends anymore or whatever rumor will see then. Anyway that's all info I will say. Both Zhenya and Yuzu will be in Faoi Makuhari

Did anyone else see this article??? I'm really worried about Zhenya... I don't want her to get injured again :(

Dont panic! What are you worried about?

Yes I want her to take some real time off like a month or two she's so busy right now but according to her medical people she can be skating in these shows. But she's not doing crazy jumps right now because the doctors have told her she can't do the jumps until her foot is fully healed.

Exactly! I‘m actually glad about this article. It just shows Evgenia the way she is - a fierce spirit and a perfectionist! She knows exactly that there are people who already rule her out after seeing the likes of Zagitova and Trusova and her being injured, but she wants and hopefully knows to prove them wrong. And I‘ve watched some of the show performances she did - there weren‘t any jumps and only few spins. She listens to what doctors tell her, she‘s not stupid. And besides, that‘s just the way sport - and especially Russian figure skating - is: cruel. She has one season to show she is on her A level again. And knowing her, she‘ll definitely surprise us in which way it may be. ;)

Oh, and I also love the way she talks about food. This is the thing I adore about Zhenya. She knows exactly what she needs to say, she‘s figured this all out and answers accordingly. As there‘ve been huge critics and fears for Alina after she said something along the lines of „you just have to eat less to not get hit by puberty“ (I don‘t remember exactly) she used this interview to make a clear statement that Alina and her are in fact not starving themselves but rather follow a healthy diet for both the body and the mind (like any athlete does, really).

Is there a Evgenia Medvedeva documentary/short film that’s being tv broadcasted some time soon? I’ve seen Instagram posts about it and I kinda want to watch it. If there is one coming, could I have some info about it? Thanks

There is going to be a doc in the 30th and in the 28th, something for tv(a sailor moon perfomance)

She is very frank about it, accepts that she has a diet with food, specifies that one day she did not eat anything, but it turned out to be fatal. Now she doesn't overdo it and confess that she spoils herself with chocolate and jam. I insist that she only need a meal planner. She is an elite athlete, and it is not healthy for her to eat a lot of garbage full of refined sugars. Fruit, lots of water, chocolate 80% cocoa, seeds, oats, many vegetables, etc. There are so many light things she can eat (:

I was watching the final of the Prix de Lausanne 2018. And the Modern Dance stage emanates so much from the Zhenya programs. Actually to those of Averbukh. Strange movements, theater, pantomime, ballet, everything is mixed. Evgenia is a contemporary skater who uses everything to skate, her body, her face, her mind and her soul. I know that many do not like Averbukh, but I must admit that the man is a visionary and has marked a before and after in terms of choreography in skating, his muses: Lipnitskaya (Schindler List), Medvedeva, show a story often cruel, we can see the whole conceptual scene there.
I also want Zhenya to try other choreographers, just to prove her versatility. I still wait for Tango.
People are so attached to the "classics" and criticize everything that looks different.

Evgenia is the SIA of the FS (I'm gonna swing from the :biggrin:chandelieeeeer (8))

EDIT: sorry, I didn't notice that I published in Spanish at the beginning lmao

Edit: Ah, I just realised the post was changed. Haha, this should show how long it really took me to write this. (Oops) But oh well, I‘m so not going to change this even if it is full of mistakes just because. ;) I was... Basically saying nothing but here we go anyway just for the sake of it:

You‘re right, it‘s very important to have a healthy diet, especially for elite athletes like Zhenya. So I have absolutely no problems there.

I actually like Averbukh‘s programs, too. But they don‘t appeal to many because of the exaggerated choreography and the miming. Many believe that they are stacked and not beautiful at all. However, Yulia‘s Schindler‘s List program is probably Averbukh‘s most iconic one and it also does involve some miming.

Zhenya certainly has diversity. However, she seems to have a preferred style for her competitive programs which is melancholic, melodic and a bit quiet. And personally, I‘m fine with it. She does show that she has different programs as well, e.g her iconic Sailor Moon exhibition.

Oh my god, this was a real challenge right there. I never realised at school how difficult writing an actual post in Spanish could really be. But well, I managed (somehow at least). Oh, and to the Spanish poster, I hope you don‘t cringe too bad after reading this, I was just trying to test my skills somehow. :D

Zhenya is so honest, no BS at all. She knows what she's doing she's very mature and in control. Yes Alina said that she is 15 and says what comes to her mind. I appreciate all of these girls and their honesty.

do we know when evgenia is expected to be able to jump again? like a rough estimate? or do we just know that she's not allowed to do jumps until her ankle is fully healed? im curious if by faoi—late may, early june—she would be able to incorporate jumps again or if it'd still be too soon o:

May 8th is the date circling around the fans, but I don’t quite remember how it was calculated (since the Worlds withdrawal announcement perhaps?). So, I guess she’ll be back to full training by the middle of May. As to jumping on faoi – I think it’ll depend on how quickly she will be able to get back in shape.

That topic was deleted by admins.. U have to PM people to talk about it and it cannot be openly discussed in the forum apparently

So, I guess we aren‘t allowed to ask what happened? I feel a bit confused right now. Is it just about some randomn rumours people spread about the two of them? Because this has happened so often already and still does ??

To be honest, I do think admins have a point on this. Speculating about skaters' private lives when they clearly don't want them to be talked about in a certain way (deleted pictures) doesn't really lead anywhere. It may even bother them, so. Let's discuss what they do decide to share with us :)

We have told people many time to stop posting those things. Admins deleted all those rumor posts so yeah they will delete them again if they continue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We created a separate chatroom away from golden skate to discuss this, and note that further discussions of Zhenya deletion of Yuzuru cannot be discussed in Golden Skate any longer. For those who want to discuss, you have to discuss outside of Golden Skate or only via PM
