Makes sense she's leaving. This is her FF, so my criticism of her technique and skills have been kept on the related thread... Good on her for taking the initiative. I've appreciated her mental strength and competitive spirit, and now this shows me she might be serious about 2022.

My question is... Can her technique be fixed? In how long? A complete retooling may be in order. And so, any new coach will also have to take all of the work they have to do into consideration. Good thing she seems willing to work hard.

chopin, whose your guess for her new coach? I know we discussed Zagitova, back when Med leaving Camp Eteri was unimaginable.
 
My guess isn't Orser, but it's the one that makes most sense. I just don't see that coming to fruition. Not with Higuchi. Not with the SC having Daleman there. Not with the JSF politicking there. The one thing she has going for her is that she won't have fed backing here, so it won't be a fed vs fed outing.

Any jump coach who can help her. Mishin, even.

I used google translator, but there was nothing special, just those typical phrases like there will be still good relationships between Medvedeva and Tutberidze, they both owe each other for many things and so on.

I will probably stop following this thread at least till monday, more speculations would probably stop my breath :laugh:

Mishin is old, and the programs are ... not good. Eteri has long surpassed him.

Zhenya needs a big name to politic and to protect her, who is modern and has had recent successes. Her pool is actually not big at all. Outside of Russia, in order to escape both the immediate after math of all of this, and to be able to have some peace and quiet. This is a bit beyond a simple - any jump coach because nope.

Oh, for sure I was being simplistic. :laugh: Orser is the one who makes most sense, but at the same time, IDK if he'd take her. Of course there's more to it than that. But if all else fails, she will have to focus on fixing her jumps first. And you're right that she'd want to leave Russia.

In the end, I just don't know either, like you. But Orser makes most sense.

I thought the Higuchi stuff is just a bunch of rumors. Do we know for sure she's trying to go to Orser?

Idk if JSF has THAT much power over Orser & Co. If they did, they would've tried to get Fernandez out of the picture long ago.

This. It doesn't make sense to blow up a relationship with Eteri and maybe the Russian fanbase just to go for some other coach in Russia.

The rumour mills have stopped. But there's still Daleman there. It's the same situation that's happening with the Jin rumours, honestly. Too many feds, only one coach. But Med won't have a fed here.
