Favored Zhenya from a profesional point of view... I don't think so....

Yeah, neither do I. I think it's obvious that she holds a deeper personal affection for Zhenya, but I think she gave them both a fair shake as far as coaching them is concerned.

Some people behave like Zhenya belong to them and she must please them. Many Russians think that leaving Eteri and Russia is a treason. Cold war is over. Zhenya closed comments on instagram so i guess something bad was written.


I think niche sports should use crowdfunding. i support my grocery more than Zhenya, i would like to support Zhenya more directly. 5euro every month is nothing but x1000(i think there are at least 1000people who would support Zhenya in this way) it is more than she earns from isu prizes:
1st place US $ 18,000 and she must give some percent to Rusfed and Eteri crazy
2nd place US $ 13,000
3rd place US $ 9,000
4th place US $ 3,000
5th place US $ 2,000
those numbers are so small, i dont know why, just 2gp and one 1gpf, skaters are poor people

so if Orser is around 100000-150000 i guess she should try it. not only her, all skaters should have account. people buy mascots i guess skaters need money more. I would support Zhenya and Trusova(sorry Sasha i am not big spender).

This is so funny! I was just talking with some other Zhenya fans last night about how she could just start a Patreon or something if money got tight, and that I'm sure that a bunch of her fans would donate small, painless amounts of money that would add up to more than enough to cover food, rent, training, etc. Like you, I would certainly give her $5 or $10 a month.

Why is it a nightmare for all of them?
The official announcement is planned for Monday, anyway... I don't think that 2-3 days matters... and people already suspected that Evgenia is leaving.

I thought it was well-played, myself. She already saw the rumors flying and the debates about it heating up. People had deduced the general state of things just from activities on Instagram and VK, so she pops onto Twitter, says "Hi," and watches all the commotion after kicking the anthill. Let her enjoy the chatter over the weekend before having her big, official revelation. Two-three days does not matter at all, just as you said.

I think she only really cares about one thing; RusFed lets her go with no issues.
It really isn't too much to ask but as we know it is not something they like doing. She utters nice words, they support her in public too and end. I doubt she'd ask for anything more as it's better to foster good will with the federation and stay in their good graces for as long as possible.

I have to think Eteri is stung by this a couple years after Yulia fired her. But I agree with you that this is more amicable breakup than Yulia leaving Eteri. Now Zhenya starts anew. It is what she neefs.

This is definitely not an amicable break up. No amicable break up would be handled like this, where everyone is refusing to comment and letting speculation and rumors flow. This is probably worse than the Lip breakup due to Med and Eteris relationship.

I don't think Zhenya is that way. I don't think she wants to cause friction and the good stuff as you call it. Perfect play by her management? How? An announcement on monday from her why this is happening is all that was needed now a weekend of speculation and angst ensues. Oh well the cat is out of the bag on this.

I think of Zhenya only as being real. I hope that doesn't change because she now may have an adept (sneaky) manager.
