So let's take this interview: http://fs-gossips.com/eteri-tutberidze-i-have-a-feeling-that-orser-challenged-me/

She said:

What???!!
1. She has no proof this private conversation even took place. You cannot accuse people and ruin their reputations based on unproven private conversations.
2. Whether Zhenya said or not - the conversation was PRIVATE. If we judge people based on our private conversation in our weak moments then all of us would have no reputation at all, not mentioning half of us would be in jail. We judge people by public actions, not by thoughts and private conversations.
3. If she, a middle age mature and "wise" woman, is using private conversations with teens as a weapon against them then she is on a level of a teenage queen-bee bullying other teenagers. She is dangerous and should be removed from the coaching world. I would never trust her as a skater's parent. She violates all coaching rules and is automatically disqualified.
I love how Eteri spun this like she was always the biggest advocate for Alina. You can just tell from her interactions during the documentary and her facial reactions at the kiss and cry that this was not the case. I mean, she was going to kick her out of her program...

I actually am really worried for Alina who will know have added pressure to “avenge” Eteri’s reputation as well as all of her attention as her only senior. Zhenya was mentally strong and I think having the Eteri attention spread out among a couple seniors was a benefit to all.

Eteri is probably already "over" Alina. This upcoming season doesn't matter - it's all about 2019-2020 when Trusova, Kostornaia, and Scherbakova move up to seniors.

Is Trusova staying?
Isn't there a rumour Tarakanova's leaving, too?

There are rumors about everyone, and their mother. And grandmother. And late great-grandmother who may have cheated on great-grandfather. The fandom is quite in chaos. Best to take everything with caution now.

So true. She really never had faith in Alina’s talents so why start now. She’s grooming her army of juniors for 2022 to obtain gold, silver, and bronze. But I’m not sure 10 run thrus a day while jumping quads is going to be good for the junior girls’ bodies. Hence the “longevity” shade from Zhenya.

Also, I just realize the quote Eteri claims Zhenya said about Alina was AFTER the olympics? That is such a different story than if she had said it a year earlier as I assumed. Everyone could see she was absolutely heartbroken in that moment and saying this had no bearing on Eteri’s decision making. I had assumed Eteri was stating she requested this prior to Alina starting her senior season to demonstrate how Machiavellian and conniving she supposedly is. God, she didn’t wish Alina to have choked or to have gotten injured, just that she wish she had waited out this season because it was devastating to her to get silver.

Eugenia Medvedev: "I want to thank éteri georgievnu and all coach headquarters for a long, fruitful, sometimes very difficult job" 💥
Two-Time Silver 🥈 Medalist Olympic Games,-world champion 🏆 and Europe Eugenia Medvedev officially announced his decision to work with the new coach and commented on the situation:
-- first of all, I want to thank éteri georgievnu tutberidze and the entire coach headquarters for a long, fruitful, sometimes very difficult job. For the great patience they have shown to me and the incredible coaching, professional restraint. These people have given me a life in catania [skating - Manitou's correction], and have led to such high results that I can rightfully be proud of.
Turning to the subject of the events of recent days, I want to clarify the situation. I will continue to speak for the Russian Federation while staying at the Sambo-70 school, with Canadian Specialist Brian Orsera. I am doing this to use new opportunities and other training techniques and to continue to represent Russia at the highest level.

As you know, after the OLYMPICS ON MARCH 8th, I flew to Germany for a medical examination. And I was urged to refrain from loads, and I was forced to skip two months of full-time training.

I want to wish further development and prosperity to the group georgievny group and thank you again for such a valuable 11 years of my life. I remember when I was a little girl. Yeah, sometimes it was hard, but I was trained, raised, supported when I needed to be a adjust. I grew up in front of éteri georgievny. She made an invaluable contribution to the development of me not only as an athlete, but as an individual. I got a lot of life lessons from her. I'll remember them all my life. At The crystal rink, my childhood has passed, and I will be grateful to remember the time of hard but fruitful work.

Also, I wish all the boys from the band éteri georgievny, claws health, patience, industry and Sports Longevity, because all of us now know how huge, the steps move forward our all favorite sport, figure skating.

I hope that time will pass and everyone will realize that it was the only possible option for both of us, to continue to work honestly, ' said an athlete.

Im looking forward to the new direction Evgenia will be taking. Is she keeping the same choregrapher? Also i wonder if she will get inconsistent now without Eteri help. The eteri girls are so consistent because of her training, Orser girls consistency are so meh well except for Kim.

Kim... Vancouver Olympics she was clean, but otherwise she always had mistakes here and there. She really isn't someone I would call a consistent skater, either. And yes, that is the #1 concern I'd have with Medvedeva moving to train under Orser - Whether her consistency suffers. Then again, with Eteri she's had great consistency for such a long time so she might be more... resistant to losing the consistency, as she might be aware of what it takes to be so consistent.

This definitely will be the most interesting season to follow Medvedeva that there ever has been, at least for me.

Why? Is Yuzuru inconsistent? When did the definition of consistency change from "reliable to finish in the top percentage of competitors" to "lands all jumps"?

So far, there have been no "consistent" girls over the age of 17/18.

The only "consistent" skaters have been girls under that age.

Since Evgenia is leaving Eteri, we won't find out if Eteri's methods work for grown women.

Injury aside, I think she will keep her consistency she knows how she earned it and knows how to keep it.

I'm talking about female skaters. In general, the consistency requirements when quads are involved are rather different.

And on the second point... I guess the definition changed when Eteri's girls started landing all jumps relatively consistently. Say, when all the skaters you are competing against land all their jumps and you don't... That's trouble. It's a different situation from when almost no one would ever have clean skates.

Who's to say triple for women don't possess the same challenges as quads do for men?

As for the second point, yeah, this is just never going to be something we're going to agree on, given the technique taught to Eteri girls. But even for the timeline response, Yuna was definitely consistent for her time, then!

I have a feeling that Eteri may follow the pattern of her own coaching philosophy - a meteoric rise and an abrupt fall of a promising coach.

You might as well talk to a brick wall - we all know Yuna was consistent in her day but people love to re-write history...
