It's possible Evgenia wanted to settle everything after her vacation but rumours started appearing in media and it became hard to quiet it down. Also do you really think Eteri would accept it if Zhenya one day came to her and said "I just want to inform you that I'm in the middle of coach changing - I have no idea if it will be successful but I want you to know". If Orser didn't accept her I doubt there would be friendly relationship between Eteri and Evgenia after this kind of statement.

I really like Trankov's interview. He practically sums up everything I think about this whole situation.

But we even don't know for sure that Zhenya didn't tell her. We only have Eteri's words... She knew but lied that she didn't know so I believe that smth bad happened between them in the end of March and maybe some harsh words had been said and Zhenya couldn't speak with her since then... If you look at the messages on Eteri's phone they are all very cold and official.

who cares. I didnt know much about Eteri but after what I saw I am happy that Zhenya is going to train in Canada. even if she will not win gold medal I am sure she will have a happier life and more healthy. new language, culture, new friends etc compare it to staying with Eteri:biggrin:

ps. and she will train with adults :biggrin: she will be better human for sure it will help her in future after skating. imagine you are 18 and most girls are under 14:biggrin:

yes because it's quiet impossible in their group, eteri takes it too personally, i don't know why it's so difficult for her to accept the fact that her student can go to another coach. she's offended that zhenya choosed another coach, she's offended that brian didn't praise enough trusova's quads... it all comes back to her bruised ego.
i don't say that evgy did everything right bc we just don't know and can't know everything. but some people act like eteri never lies :C

What I do wonder is: Wasn‘t Zhenya in Korea at that time? How would it be possible for her to go to Russia and fill in some plan? Or am I wrong here? I don‘t remember her schedule of shows exactly...
 
I find it hard to believe that Eteri said, “it’s at least unpleasant” when she didn’t get a response. We’ve seen her temper, I imagine she’s not used to getting ignored by her student. I wouldn’t put it passed her to have altered or even faked the messages
 
Does it even matter at this point? Evgenia has chosen the high road and wished Eteri and the Sambo girls all the best, but she's ready to move on. Let's focus on her upcoming adventure! She's got FoI shows and then she'll move to Canada! Exciting things ahead :)
 
Thanks! Doubt we will ever get the full story but everyone is born with fight or flight instinct. If zhenya chose to ignore her and run then there must have been an element of fear about what eteris reaction would be! Gotta love watching the drama unfold 😂😂

Totally agree! What an exciting time for her and her fans! Hopefully she will stay up around the top for many years!
