Many of the skaters that train at World Arena here in Co Springs also use the AFA rink as an alternative rink when they need the ice time.
Again, as I've said on another thread, Karen has been training in Detroit area since her brother moved there to train for ice dance: Karen may be staying there too.

Jason was also seen training at the AF prior to SOI. In fact, it's how we Jason fans first learned that "Can't Stop the Feeling" was probably an SOI program, as it was reported by a kind poster that he was practicing to that music at the AF rink. But he hasn't joined the Air Force
As to Karen, other than training with her brother in Canton, no official reports. She follows her BFF's lead in not announcing anything too soon

I jokingly (sort of) refer to Jason as her BFF. Of course, with his personality, Jason is everyone’s BFF
During a piece of USFS fluff video early in season, Jason and Karen said that they had picked each other (without the other knowing it) as “skater you would most like to spend time with” or some such question. Also, from a very unscientific study, almost every photo or IG story vid of Karen on the SOI tour is credited to Jason.
So my complete and total conjecture that they would have a good time training together.:agree:

The last newspaper article I saw quoted in the "Tammy Gambrill moves to Colorado" thread said that Karen was going with Tammy to Colorado. Before that, the rumor was that she was leaving, and she had been practicing at the Canton rink in Michigan where her brother trains.
Not to derail a Karen Fan Fest thread, but just for information's sake it is pretty clear that Jason is looking around, although he has not totally confirmed he is leaving Kori. He said in an article published this week "Each day, I’m figuring out something new about myself or something new about what I’m looking for … whether it be coaches, whether it be location, whether it be schooling, and whether it be so many different aspects of my life. So I think I’m just taking this period of time, especially through the end of Stars, which ends at the end of May, to really allow myself to figure it out.”

Recently reported that Karen has had some try-out lessons with Alex Ouriashev. Maybe switching to him. Alex says he doesn’t know yet but will know “very soon.” (Per Phil Hersh)

I was about to feel excited when I remembered an article confirming that Karen will move to Colorado with Tammy? I hope she turned the sails around to Chicago, I think Alex is a better move.

Who's Alex? Is he good?
He used to be Gracie Gold’s coach - before she moved to Frank Carroll. And I think Shoma goes to him in the summers for jump coaching.

Darn - no news on the possible Karen - Alex alliance yet? I keep hoping there will be something every time I come online. Alex would be great for helping Karen with her jumps. An added bonus - Karen would be an inspiration to many of the young ladies at the rink. YMMV

Coach Z is great for the jumps. For selfish reasons, I am hoping she would work with Alex. But whatever is best for her is good with me. It's a big decision, I'm sure. I just wonder if a different environment would be good for her. Time will tell.

Well, CO springs is going to be a different environment from where she was training in California. Guess time will tell.
